Boutboul Doubles Up

Bernard Boutboul pushed from the cutoff to a raise from the hijack, and a call later they were on their backs.

Boutboul: {A-Diamonds} {10-Spades}
Would-be hijacker: {A-Clubs} {3-Clubs}

"I never lose with ace-ten," Boutboul warned his opponent.

"Then this will be the first time," replied his inexplicably confident foe.

Nevertheless:

Board: {4-Hearts} {K-Hearts} {5-Diamonds} {K-Diamonds} {7-Clubs}

Boutboul doubles to a still rather shaky 25,000.

Roy Four-Bet-Folds

A big and mysterious pot from portly Frenchman Alain Roy's table.

It looks as though Roy raised the cutoff and the gentleman on the button reraised. It appears further that Roy four-bet, only for the button to five-bet all in -- either way, there was 50,000 in the pot and an additional 70,000 sitting on the felt in front of the button when we arrived at the table. Roy thought about it, carefully examining his remaining 130,000 stack -- but after a while made the fold.

Not Bad for Goodwin

Marc Goodwin
Marc Goodwin
Marc Goodwin has picked up a nice pot after seeing a {6-Hearts} {2-Diamonds} {K-Clubs} flop.

His opponent bet out 8,500 from the under the gun position, but Goodwin on the button made it 28,500. The gent folded, and the pot belonged to Goodwin.

Schaefer's Aces Cracked

Brandon Schaefer is down to 90,000 after his {A-Clubs} {A-Spades} was cracked by {A-Diamonds} {K-Diamonds} when a third diamond came along after a {J-Diamonds} {4-Diamonds} {3-?} flop.

"He just flatted me pre," said Brandon, "but what are we going to do after the flop? It be nice to have 190,000 but 90,000 isn't too bad."

May De La Gorce Be With You

Guilaurme De La Gorce has knocked out Fabio Georges after the latter pushed from the small blind against the Frenchman's cut-off raise with {8-Diamonds} {8-Clubs}. De La Gorce had {10-Clubs} {10-Hearts} though and held out on a {A-Hearts} {Q-Spades} {6-Diamonds} {2-Spades} {4-Hearts} board, bumping his stack up to about 85,000.

Break Time

As if to make up for skipping the dinner break, our runners will apparently be getting a 15 minute break after every level. They're off on their first one now.
