Riverman Doesn't Need One.

Yilfer Shevket, likes to refer to himself as 'James Bond' but he's been unable to get out of holding top two pair on a {8-Spades} {8-Hearts} {Q-Clubs} {J-Clubs} {7-Diamonds} board. Laurence Houghton fired the whole way, 5,500 on the turn and 14,800 on the river.

Shevket called with {Q-Spades} {J-Spades} but Houghton showed {A-Spades} {A-Hearts} to take the whole pot just as we come to the dinner break.

J Boosted

David Williams raised to 1,125 and Justin Smith on the button and big blind Amnon Filippi both came along for the ride.

They saw a {2-Hearts} {9-Hearts} {A-Diamonds} flop and Filippi checked. Williams tried it on for 2,000 -- but Smith made it 6,100 to go and both players folded.

Williams - 25,500
Smith - 72,000
Filippi - 7,000 (not a typo, he's actually short)

Pot for Ketul

The three gentlemen in cutoff, button and small blind limped in, and it fell to big blind and GUKPT London winner Ketul Nathwani to raise to 3,000. The gent on the button called, but folded pretty swiftly when Nathwani bet out 6,000 on the {7-Spades} {7-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds} flop.

Nathwani - 45,000

Decides Not To Quoss Over To The Rail...

With the board reading {7-Hearts} {Q-Spades} {3-Spades} {K-Spades} {3-Diamonds}, Fabian Quoss checked aquoss...sorry across to Justin Smith.

The latter thought long and hard and bet 38,000 into the 10,000 pot, not that this mattered as Quoss only had about 11,000 left.

The German thought long and hard for almost 10 minutes to the point where Amnon Fillipi said politely, "I'm going to give you another minute, I know it's for your tournament life, but I need to play a few hands," indicating his own very short stack.

Eventually though the clock was called, but immediately Quoss decided he could wait for another today.

Eight Lucky for Tran

JC Tran is up over 95,000 and looks to be our chip leader after putting another player all in on the river of a {5-?} {5-?} {8-?} {8-?} {5-?} board. His opponent Tome Moreira called, but mucked when Tran turned over {8-?} {6-?} for a higher full house than the one on the board. Moreira mucked pocket jacks. Ouch.

Well, Durrr...

Tom Dwan has been knocked out. He moved all-in on the river of a {6-?} {9-?} {J-?} {9-?} {6-?} only playing the board because of his {4-?} {4-?} but was called by his opponent's {Q-?} {Q-?}.
