Lieu-king good.

The cut-off raised to 700, Ivan Demidov called in the small blind and Liz Lieu reraised to 1,800 from the big blind.

The cut-off called and Demidov folded.

Lieu bet out 2,700 on the {Q-Clubs} {J-Clubs} {6-Clubs} flop and got called. She then checked to her opponent on the {Q-Spades} turn, who bet 4,225, Lieu then check-raised to 10,000 and he immediately folded.

Brown Finds Cowboys

Mr. Chad Brown has a pumped-up stack to match his biceps, after he got to the end of a {7-?} {9-?} {J-?} {7-?} {3-?} board and his pocket kings busted a player holding pocket queens.

He's up in the 60,000 region now.

Mercier Not Slowing Down

4th place in the WSOPE Main Event and you'd think Jason Mercier would be happy to take a breather, but no!

He just moved all-in against a 6,500 or so bet for 9,825 more on the turn of a {A-Diamonds} {A-Spades} {K-Diamonds} {2-Spades}. His opponent declined to call and Mercier is back up to around his starting stack.

Easy-Peisert

Jörg Peisert is up to perhaps 70,000 (he was spending rather more time just looking pleased with himself than actually stacking his new chips) after doubling up with pocket {K-Clubs} {K-Diamonds} on a board that read {10-Spades} {5-Clubs} {2-Spades} {5-Spades} {6-Clubs}.

Getting Darc Early

There was a {Q-Hearts} {4-Diamonds} {8-Diamonds} flop on the felt, and it looked as though it had checked around to the gent in position, who had bet. Back to Matt Glantz, who now chwck-raised. Guillaume Darcourt in between the two of them now called or raised all in (there wasn't much left of his stack), the bettor passed, and Messrs. Glantz and Darcourt were on their backs.

Glantz: {Q-Spades} {2-Spades} for top pair
Darcourt: {4-Hearts} {4-Clubs} for a set

Turn: {2-Diamonds} offering Glantz some hope

River: {4-Spades} dashing all those hopes to the ground and stamping on them

Darcourt more than doubles up to 19,000, while Glantz is reduced to 15,000.

ElkY Slips, Recovers, Still on Half His Starting Stack

The Elkmeister
The Elkmeister
With around 8,000 in the pot already by the turn of the {5-Hearts} {8-Spades} {J-Diamonds} {10-Clubs} board, ElkY seems to have moved in from the cutoff for his last 8,550. Jesper Hougaard on the button spent some time considering it but ultimately opted for the fold; so did ElkY's other opponent in mid position before coming to the same conclusion.

ElkY survives, and is perched on 17,000 or so.

C(h)an You Dig It?

Terrence Chan
Terrence Chan
A late position raise and Terrence Chan came in for a reraise from the small blind before Christer Johansson made a cold 4-bet in the big blind. The original raiser folded after some thought, what he said was Jacks later.

Terrence Chan though moved all-in leaving the Irish Open winner shaking his head disgustedly.

Eventually Johansson folded and Chan picked up the pot.
