Crazy Feature Table Action Swallows Our Break Time and Leaves Spindler Short

Raymond Wu opened for 62,000 and Benny Spindler called form the button to see a {J-Diamonds} {4-Spades} {3-Clubs} flop.

Wu bet out 75,000 and Spindler called again to see a {Q-Spades} turn. Wu now checked, but called 112,000 from Spindler.

The river was the {J-Spades} and Wu checked again -- and this time was faced with a 250,000 bet from Spindler. He tanked up for many break-time minutes, before calling with {K-Spades} {J-Clubs}. Spindler turned over a beaten {A-Spades} {A-Diamonds} and is left with 700,000 or so; Wu meanwhile is up to 1.7 million.

Andrew Lichtenberger Eliminated in 20th Place (£17,000)

Andrew Lichtenberger raised preflop and Rui Milhomens called. Lichtenberger bet another 85,000 on the {8-Hearts} {K-Hearts} {3-Hearts} flop, and Milhomens check-called that too.

Come the {K-Spades} turn, Milhomens checked and Lichtenberger bet 150,000. Milhomens now raised to cover Lichtenberger, who called all in.

Bit of a cooler, really.

Lichtenberger: {9-Hearts} {10-Hearts} for a flopped flush
Milhomens: {A-Hearts} {7-Hearts} for a better flush

Drawing dead, Lichtenberger shook hands with the table and was gone before the {A-Clubs} river was dealt.

Spin Up

Benny Spindler continues to dominate the feature table. When Vivek Rajkumar raised to 61,000 Spindler made it 177,000 to get him to fold.

He just picked up another pot when his deuces held out on a checked-down board of {8-Spades}{5-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{4-Hearts} against Adam York.

Spindler hasn't seen it all go his own way though, Peter Eastgate just reraised all-in for about 500,000 over the top of his bet to wrest at least one pot back from the super-active German.

Benny Getting Busy

A good night's sleep has clearly done wonders for Benny Spindler -- by far the most aggressive player at the feature table, he's just now taken down another pot. Vivek Rajkumar raised to 61,000, but Spindler made it 177,000 and Rajkumar laid it down.

Kenneth Hicks Busts in 22nd Place (17,000)

Aaron Gustavson made it 48,000 from the hijack, only for a wide-eyed Kenneth Hicks to shove from the small blind -- not the first time he'd done that today. Perhaps taking into account how shove-happy Hicks had been up until this point, Gustavson made a speculative call with {A-Clubs} {5-Diamonds} but found Hicks well ahead with {5-Clubs} {5-Spades}.

But oh, the cruelty of the poker gods.

Board: {K-Diamonds} {9-Spades} {9-Diamonds} {6-Hearts} {6-Diamonds}

Gustavson counterfeited Hicks' pocket pair to send the still wide-eyed and staring Hicks to the rail.
