Carter's Stack On Steroids

Boom!
Boom!
Scratch whatever we just said about Olaf De Zeeuw being the chip leader because there's a new big stack in town and Carter Phillips is the sheriff. According to Phillips, he raised to 1,600 after a player limped in. Phillips was in the small blind. The flop came down {8-?} {2-?} {2-?} and Phillips continued with a bet of 2,200. His opponent raised to 7,500 and Carter called.

The turn brought a {J-?}, keeping the board rainbow. Phillips check-called a big bet of 20,000 from his opponent.

The river was a {5-?} and Phillips checked again. His opponent set him all in and Phillips made the call with two aces. His opponent mucked his hand and Carter scooped the massive pot. He is now up to 124,000 chips.

Pagano Working His Way Up

Luca Pagano
Luca Pagano
Luca Pagano raised to 900 and got three callers to a flop of {K-Clubs} {6-Clubs} {6-Hearts}. There was one player to act before Pagano and he checked. Pagano fired 2,500 and one by one, all of his opponents folded. The Italian member of Team PokerStars PRO is up to 49,000 chips and doing quite well. He is seated with Carter Phillips, but so far the two have been able to stay away from one another.

Genadiew Sends Silow Packing

Anton Genadiew
Anton Genadiew
Anton Genadiew raised from the cutoff seat to 825. Next to act was Oskar Silow and he reraised to 3,325 on the button. The blinds folded and action fell back on Genadiew. He moved all in, having Silow covered. Silow thought for about 30 seconds before sticking the rest of his chips into the middle.

Genadiew held a dominating {A-Spades} {K-Spades} over Silow's {A-Hearts} {Q-Clubs}. The board ran out {9-Diamonds} {7-Hearts} {3-Hearts} {8-Clubs} {5-Clubs}, failing to help Silow improve and send him to the rail. Genadiew on the other hand, moved up to 48,000 chips.

Presto! Manole Makes Quads

Edward Kavanagh - Out
Edward Kavanagh - Out
PokerStars qualifier Edward Kavanagh was down to his last 5,025 chips, and they all went into the pot preflop. Mihai Manole made the call, turning over {5-Hearts} {5-Spades}. Kavanagh was in a good spot to double up with {J-Hearts} {J-Clubs}.

As the dealer went to spread the flop, she fumbled it, and the {5-Diamonds} flipped over, and Kavanagh let out a big sigh of disgust. She gathered the cards and ran a flop of {5-Diamonds} {4-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds}. The {2-Spades} that hit the turn gave Kavanagh some chop outs, but the {5-Clubs} was certainly not one of them.

Rivered quads are plenty good enough for Manole to win the pot, sending Kavanagh off to the exit. "Nice call," he muttered, shaking his head and walking away dejected.

Manole Picks One Up

Henrik Nyberg raised to 900 before Mihai Manole reraised to 2,500 from a later position. Action folded back around to Nyberg and he made the call.

The two players took a flop of {8-Clubs} {8-Hearts} {2-Spades} and that would be all Manole needed. Nyberg check-folded to a bet of 3,000 from Manole, moving him up to 35,000 chips.
