Abecassis Hanging On

Just one hand after doubling up Peter Hedlund, Michel Abecassis moved all in from the small blind. Ruslan Prydryk was the only man to beat, and he quickly called with the covering stack.

"I still don't know what I have," smirked Abecassis. He flipped over {5-Spades} {8-Spades}, and he wasn't too bad off against Prydryk's {K-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds}.

Things would get better still. The flop brought two pair for Abecassis, and the board ended up {8-Clubs} {5-Clubs} {J-Hearts} {Q-Diamonds} {K-Spades}. Needing both of those pairs to stay alive, Abecassis has indeed doubled back up to about 75,000.
