New Day, New Bar for Hedlund

Either Peter Hedlund is out, or he's decided he just prefers the ambience at the bar outside the tournament area. Seeing as the proximity of alcohol to where he is seems to always be more important to Mr. Hedlund than the environment in which he consumes it, we are assuming that he is indeed busto.

Luske Limps Kings

Marcel Luske limped under the gun and action folded all the way around to the small blind. He completed and then Noah Boeken was in the big blind and checked his option.

The flop came down {J-Spades}{10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and action checked around. The turn brought the {2-Clubs} and the two blinds checked to Luske. He fired 5,000 and both players called.

The river completed the board with the {4-Diamonds} and action checked to Luske again. He fired 10,000 and was called by the small blind. Boeken folded and was left with 14,000 chips. The small blind mucked when Luske turned up the {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}. Luske moved to 64,500.

A few hands later, Boeken was elimnated from the tournament.

Tiny Danzer Pretty Big Now

With around 60,000 in the pot by the river of the {3-Spades} {7-Clubs} {4-Spades} {6-Hearts} {J-Clubs} board, George Danzer bet 38,800. HIs opponent, who had checked the river ahead of him, tanked up for some time before eventually calling - and then regretted it immediately when Danzer turned over {9-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds} for a straight. The hapless gent mucked, and Danzer is up to 250,000.

Sarwer Latest Casualty

Sarwer as he Sar-was
Sarwer as he Sar-was
There was a raise under the gun to 2,800, and it folded around to Jeff Sarwer in the big blind who re-popped for 7,200. Mr. Under The Gun promptly made it 22,800, and Sarwer tanked up.

"I think we have the hand of all hands," said Sarwer as he dwelled. "I hate these hands. Sorry, guys."

He thought about it for a while longer, and then announced, "Ok, I'll go," and pushed his stack across the line. A call, and a showdown.

Mr. Under The Gun: {A-Diamonds} {K-Spades}
Sarwer: {Q-Spades} {Q-Hearts} and very relieved he wasn't up against aces or kings

Board: {K-Clubs} {3-Clubs} {4-Diamonds} {9-Hearts} {2-Clubs}

"Hey, nice hand," said Sarwer as he took his leave. "Take care. Bye."
