Secara Shoves Again

Claudius Secara
Claudius Secara
Claudius Secara open-shoved for his last 375,000, and he got calling action from Stephane Albertini in the blind. Secara was at risk, and he would soon find out he was flipping a coin for double or nothing.

Showdown
Secara: {6-Diamonds} {6-Hearts}
Albertini: {A-Clubs} {J-Clubs}

The board rolled out {Q-Spades} {4-Diamonds} {2-Hearts} {K-Diamonds} {8-Clubs}, and that's safe for the all-in player. He's doubled his way up over 800,000, dropping Albertini down to the short stack of 695,000.

Short Stacks Get Shorter

Jake Cody made it 175,000 under the gun and newly doubled but still short-stacked Claudius Secara called out of the big blind.

They looked down at a {Q-Clubs} {Q-Spades} {K-Spades} flop and Secara checked. Cody bet 195,000 - and Secara made a rather surprising fold. He's back under the 10-big-blind mark.

Albertini Sweats, Doubles

Phew
Phew
Craig Bergeron raised, and to his left Stephane Albertini shoved for his last 620,000 - around eight big blinds. A call, and a showdown.

Albertini: a reasonable {A-Diamonds} {4-Hearts}
Bergeron: the mighty {Q-Clubs} {3-Clubs}

Flop: {7-Clubs} {A-Clubs} {K-Hearts}

A roar erupted from the crowd, presumably for Albertini's top pair, but Bergeron had flopped the flush draw.

Turn: {6-Diamonds}

River: {K-Spades}

No further clubs were forthcoming and Albertini stayed in the game, doubling up to 1,275,000.

Getting Fratty

Action folded to Jake Cody in the small blind, and he raised to 175,000. Big blind Michael Fratty promptly moved all in for 1.3 million. Cody dutifully pretended to count his stack and think about the decision before mucking his cards. Fratty flashed an ace as he pulled in the pot.
