Craig Bergeron moved all in, and Teodor Caraba called. A race!
Bergeron:
Caraba:
Board: Bink!
With that, Bergeron flipped his way up to 3.76 million. Caraba remains the chip leader, but it's rather closer between him and Jake Cody now than it was.
It looked like we were going to have some serious action when a raise to 220,000 from Mike McDonald was met with a reraise to 490,000 from Jake Cody. Back around to McDonald, and he announced all in - but Cody swiftly passed, and McDonald took the pot without the hassle of a showdown.
The Timex/Cody saga continued with Timex raising to 220,000 and Cody reraising to 490,000. Back to Timex, and he re-popped to 1.1 million. Cody announced all in. Timex announced call.
The pot - 8.63 million. Good lord.
Cody:
Timex McDonald:
Flop:
Cody walked off, unable to look.
Turn:
Cody, now with a few more outs, went back to the table.
River:
Cody closed his eyes and looked as though he was going to cry.
McDonald enjoys a full double up to 8.63 million and the chip lead. Cody is left with 1.115 million and a bunch of sadness.
The action folded around to the blinds, and small blind Jake Cody moved all in for just under 1 million chips. In the big, Stephane Albertini peeked at his cards and made the call, putting himself all in and at risk for about 700,000 total.
Showdown
Cody:
Albertini:
Oops. The flop came out , not much help. The on the turn was a good card, giving Albertini four outs to the win and four more outs to the chop with his double gutter. Unfortunately for the Corsican, the river was a blank , and that's all she wrote. Albertini has been knocked off in 6th place, taking home a six-figure payday for his work this week.
Mike McDonald has been running over the table since his double up, opening most of the hands that are folded to him. So no one was surprised when he raised to 220,000 preflop. Claudius Secara had to like his spot when he shipped in his 910,000. Snap call from Timex. Bad timing for Secara.
McDonald:
Secara: - at risk
Boring board:
Secara got a rousing cheer from his fans as he headed to the interview area. The rest of the table, on the other hand, is anything but cheering to see McDonald get even more chips. His towering stack is now over 10 million.
Craig Bergeron limped in on the small blind, only for Mike McDonald in the big blind to raise to 280,000. Bergeron however now re-popped for 1.6 million, and McDonald folded instantly with a nod and a respectful tap on the table.
