Carson Takes the First One

Russell Carson and Allan Bække each put 600,000 chips into the pot before the flop, and the dealer spread out {10-Spades} {4-Spades} {8-Clubs}. When Bække checked the flop, Carson was allowed to take it away with a bet of 775,000.

Carson Straightens Up

Our two heads-upsers saw a {4-Spades} {9-Clubs} {5-Spades} flop which they both checked and so they got to see the {7-Diamonds} turn for free. Bække bet out 275,000 and Carson called, so they got to see a river too.

The river was the {8-Spades} and this time Bække bet out 550,000. Carson called immediately and Bække turned over {J-Clubs} {9-Diamonds} for top pair. Carson meanwhile was holding {K-Hearts} {6-Spades} for a straight and it was good enough to take the pot.

Guess the Hands

A small, strange pot for Bække now.

Both players checked their way down the {J-Clubs} {3-Diamonds} {3-Clubs} flop and {Q-Hearts} turn and they saw a {9-Clubs} river which Bække checked as well. Carson hazarded a 275,000 bet - but Bække now check-raised. Carson looked as confused as we were, and folded.

Bække Takes Bite Out Of Carson

Allan Bække raised to 260,000 on the button and Russell Carson popped it to 720,000 in the big blind. Bække called and the flop came {5-Clubs}{6-Spades}{2-Spades}.

Carson check-called 700,000 and the {4-Clubs} hit the turn. Carson check-called again, this time 1,300,000 million. The river was the {7-Diamonds} and Carson checked for a third time. Bække fired a whopping 2,275,000.

Carson mulled it over for minute, eventually making the call. Bække tabled {8-?}{5-?} for the rivered straight, winning the massive pot and taking a 7:1 chip lead.

Is It Over?

Bække one card away...
Bække one card away...
In a word, no.

Bække raised his button and Carson shoved from the big blind. Call.

Bække: {A-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds}
Carson: {A-Hearts} {J-Spades}

Board: {A-Diamonds} {9-Spades} {6-Spades} {9-Hearts} ...

...

...{J-Diamonds} !

The lucky jack on the river doubled Carson up to stay in the game. Bække's lead was reduced to around 4:1, and we play on...
