Medesan Making Moves

Alain Medesan raised to 125,000 in the cutoff and Brent Wheeler popped it to 250,000 from the big blind. Medesan four-bet shoved for 1.9 million and Wheeler gave it up, sending the pot to Medesan.

Carson Flushes Chips Out of Bække

Allan Bække did his very favourite thing and opened for 105,000; Russel Carson (behind) and Johannes Strassmann (small blind) made the call.

They saw a {5-Spades}

flop and it checked to Carson who bet 165,000. Strassmann folded but Bække called and they went heads up to the turn.

Both players checked the {9-Spades}

turn and Bække checked the {8-Spades}

river too. When Carson bet 415,000 Bække was left with a fairly big decision and eventually opted to call - but then mucked when Carson flipped {A-Spades}

for a flopped top pair, top kicker that had turned into a flush by the river.

Jonathan Schroer Eliminated in 6th Place (€65,000)

Russell Carson raised to 120,000 under the gun and Jonathan Schroer called from the cutoff. Johannes Strassmann squeezed to 380,000 on the button and got the blinds and Carson to fold. Schroer shoved for 1.2 million, knocking over his chips once again. Strassmann snap-called and the hands were revealed:

Strassmann: {K-Diamonds}

It was all over the flop as it rolled out {3-Diamonds}

. The

turn card and {6-Hearts}

river card were merely formalities as Jonathan Schroer hit the rail in 6th place.

Johannes Strassmann is up to about 3,300,000.

Medesan Doubles, Wheeler Crippeld

Brent Wheeler raised it up to 120,000 and Alain Medesan called in the big blind. They saw a flop.

Flop: {2-Spades}

Medesan checked and Wheeler bet 140,000. Back to Medesan, who min-raised to 280,000. Back again to Wheeler, who reraised to 530,000. Medesan just flatted, and they moved to the turn.
