Day 3 Dawns; Daniel Dominates

Daniel Negreanu, yesterday
Daniel Negreanu, yesterday

Good morning and welcome back to Vienna's Kursalon where things are about to get very serious indeed.

Last night we made the money when the unfortunate Gianni Giaroni smacked his {a-}{k-} into Riekus Wijermars' pocket aces. Everyone is now guaranteed to get paid a little something, but there is a whole world of difference between an €8,000 min-cash and the €700,000 on offer for first place.

Our big chip leader as we head into the day is Team PokerStars Pro Daniel Negreanu. Negreanu was already a big stack after doubling up with aces against kings , when he rivered a set of tens to eliminate two players and lurch into the chip lead. Negreanu only increased his stack as the evening progressed, and at 893,000 is almost 200,000 chips ahead of the next man.

Also still in the running are Team PokerStars Pros Martin Hruby, Nacho Barbero and Angel Guillen, Luke "_FullFlush1_" Schwartz and 2006 EPT Grand Final winner Jeff Williams.

Play is due to get underway at noon, so go get yourself einen grossen kaffee, have a nice stroll around the Stadtpark, and join us back at the Kursalon then.
