Surinder Sunar Eliminated in 21st Place (DKK 85,000)

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 1,000 ante
Surinder Sunar
Surinder Sunar

Andrea Dalle Molle opened preflop to 26,000 and Surinder Sunar raised for half his stack from the big blind. Molle set him in, Sunar called and we were off to the races.

Sunar: {A-Clubs} {K-Diamonds}
Molle: {10-Diamonds} {10-Spades}

A board of {Q-Diamonds} {4-Clubs} {9-Hearts} {10-Hearts} {2-Clubs} offered no help to the veteran player and former WPT winner, he goes out in 21st place.

Freit-ez Game

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 1,000 ante
Ivan Freitez
Ivan Freitez

Ivan Freitez has kept himself over the 1 million chip mark today, despite seeming to be involved in a pot every time our glance falls on his table. He just gave Florian Langmann pause for thought in an interesting pot featuring that rarest of things at EPT Copenhagen, a bantery conversation mid-hand...

Caught from the {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{7-Spades} flop, Florian Langmann check-raised a mid-position 46k to 155k. In between was Freitez, who flat called both bets. Heads up for the {9-Diamonds} turn, Langmann checked. Freitez immediately moved all in (for 600k). The action returned to a disappointed looking Langmann who started with that classic poker request, "Will you show me if I fold?"

"Yeah," replied Freitez, before saying, "Why don't you call? I need your chips. You're on my list."

"Everyone's on your list."

Freitez took out an actual list with people's names on it and read off, "Flo-ri-an Lang-mann." He wasn't joking.

Langmann eventually passed and Freitez revealed his turned flush with the {6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}.

Hanninger Doubles

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 1,000 ante

If you needed more proof that Ivan Freitez came here to play today, then how about his immediate reshove with {K-Hearts}{10-Hearts} in the small blind when button shorter stack Simon Hanninger moved in preflop for around 200k. Hanninger showed {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} and held on the {2-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} board, bringing him a little breathing room.

Liaking the Flop

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 1,000 ante

Jens Lauridsen opened to 28,000 from UTG and Nikalos Liakos called in middle position while everyone else folded. The flop came {3-Spades} {6-Hearts} {5-Spades} and Lauridsen slid out a bet of 50,000 but Liakos wasn't going anywhere and casually made the call.

The {10-Hearts} turn didn't seem to change much but Lauridsen checked which allowed Liakos to bet 75,000. Lauridsen tanked for several minutes before electing to let it go.

Heaven Helpps Those Who Help Themselves

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 1,000 ante
Juha Helppi
Juha Helppi

Juha Helppi's back moving in the right direction, after he checked a {4-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{j-Spades} flop to Helge Rahbek, who bet 41,000. John Eames who had also made it as far as the flop folded, but Helppi now check-raised all in for 280,000. Jensen snap-folded, shaking his head, and dropped to 360,000. Helppi's moved back up to 420,000.

Action Almost Occurs

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 1,000 ante

Jan Sørensen limped for 12,000 and Florian Langmann isolated in the cutoff to 40,000. Simon Hanninger then reraised to 106,000 out of the big blind with about 230,000 back.

Sørensen folded and Langmann thought briefly before moving all-in, Hanniger quickly called but both players showed {A-} {K-} and neither could manage to flush out a victory resulting in a split pot.
