Big Roger Doubles Up

Roger Hairabedian with a nice and easy double up
Roger Hairabedian with a nice and easy double up

The man known as Big Roger - Roger Hairabedian - has just doubled up in the most comfortable of circumstances.

Hairabedian raised to 1,000 in early position and Yuliyan Kolev three-bet to 2,400 one seat to his left. The play folded back around to Hairabedian and he four-bet to 7,000. Kolev reacted by moving all-in for just under 30,000 and Hairabedian called instantly.

Hairabedian{A-Diamonds} {A-Clubs}
Kolev{8-Spades} {5-Spades}

We are not sure if there is history between these two, but from our standpoint Kolev had zero fold equity with that move.

Board: {6-Clubs} {5-Clubs} {2-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts}

Theo Jorgensen is right back in the action after doubling up through fellow Team PokerStars Pro Jude Ainsworth. Jorgensen was all in on a flop of {K-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs} holding {10-Clubs}{6-Clubs} against Ainsworth's {3-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and the board ran out {7-Spades} and {Q-Hearts}.

Ainsworth dropped down to 22,000 while Jorgensen moved up to 55,000.

Lodden Lives!

When I grow up I want to be called Johnny Lodden.
When I grow up I want to be called Johnny Lodden.

Johnny Lodden's name is so cool, rock stars change their name by deed poll to Johnny Lodden!

Here is the guy with the cool name showing the guy with the long name how to win a flip.

Panagiotis Gavriilidis raised to 1,000 from under the gun and Lodden three-bet to 2,500 two seats to his left. When the action folded around to Gavrillidis he moved enough chips into the middle to cover Lodden and he called.

Lodden{A-Hearts} {K-Diamonds}
Gavrillidis{Q-Spades} {Q-Hearts}

Lodden didn't have to wait long to take the lead when the King flew to his aid on the flop.

Board: {K-Hearts} {9-Clubs} {3-Clubs} {9-Hearts} {2-Diamonds}

That's how Team PokerStars rock stars do it!

Chouity Shines

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Back in April 2010, Nicolas Chouity was seemingly untouchable as he won €1.7 million whilst becoming our EPT Grand Final champion. Chouity has turned up with a bandage over a very sore looking nose, but it has not stopped him quietly going about his business.

Chouity raised to 1,000 in middle position and PokerStars Qualifier Chris Green three-bet to 3,000 from the next seat. Chouity decided to call and the two of them shared a jack high flop which they both checked - {J-Hearts} {7-Hearts} {5-Diamonds}. The turn was the {10-Spades} and that was also checked through. The last card was the {3-Clubs} and a 3,650 Chouity bet forced Green off his hand.

Ze Germans!

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Team PokerStars Pro, Pius Heinz, became the first ever German to win the WSOP Main Event only last week and it seems that he has given his fellow countrymen a little bit of a confidence boost. Yesterday Julian Herold reached the summit of our chip counts and today Mario Puccini is mounting an assault towards that very same pinnacle. Here is Puccini winning another pot as he surpasses the 100,000 mark.

The player seated in the cutoff raised to 1,100 before Puccini three-bets to 2,700 on the button. Nobody seemed interested in the hand except the cutoff who decided to see a flop out of position versus the table big stack mmm...

The flop was {K-Clubs} {9-Diamonds} {4-Spades} and both players decided to see a free turn. This was the {9-Spades} and after the cutoff checked for the second time Puccini bet 2,700 to win the pot.
