Friends With Benefits

A lot of the young players who travel circuit off-set the loneliness of life on the road by forming little groups. They fly together, share hotels rooms, go to dinner, and talk through strategy. This offers a lot of unseen benefits to their profitability. Xuan Liu, David Vamplew and Mickey Petersen are all good friends of similar age who hang together and all three have restarted well after dinner.

Petersen raised from second position after Albert Bernardo limped from the under-the-gun seat. Bernardo called to see a {4-Hearts}{10-Spades}{7-Spades} flop where he check-called a 2,000 bet. Both players checked through the {j-Spades} turn and Bernardo led for 3,000 on the {k-Spades} river. Petersen called with {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs} and took the pot as his opponent only had {7-Hearts}.

Vamplew is on the up after check-raising on a {a-Hearts}{3-Spades}{8-Hearts} flop in a three-way pot. It did the trick as both opponents folded.

Meanwhile Liu tweeted: "Just knocked out two shorties, 69k just after dinner."
