Patel's Run Ends

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Dhru Patel
Dhru Patel

Dhru Patel finished Day 1a as the chip leader and eventually he was the overall Day 1 chip leader at the start yesterday. Today Patel came in with a good stack too, but his run just ended with a min cash.

Patel was all in preflop against Ilan Suloman and the showdown went as following.

Suloman: {A-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Patel: {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}

The board ran out {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{3-Spades}{5-Spades} and the chips were counted down. Suloman had Patel covered by just a few chips and that means both Day 1 chip leaders are no longer with us. Maximilian Senft was knocked out earlier, short of the money

Devilfish Doesn't Show

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

With 55,000 or so in the pot and a board reading {2-Clubs}{2-Spades}{k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}, Daniel Reijmer bet 20,000 from the small blind and David "Devilfish" Ulliott called from middle position. When the {J-Clubs} completed the board on the river, Reijmer bet out 45,000 and Ulliott thought for about 40 seconds before announcing that he was all in for 84,500 more.

Reijmer didn't seemed pleased, which prompted Ulliott to say," Call I'll show. If you fold I'll show you."

Reijmer tanked for about two minute while the Devilfish leaned back in his chair and chatted him up. Eventually Reijmer folded, and the Devilfish let a devilish grin cross his face before slowly sliding his cards to the dealer unseen.

Lucky Double For Shelly

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Conor Shelly was all in for just 32,000 chips when his shove was called. The Canadian PokerStars Qualifier had to get really lucky but managed to do so on the flop.

Shelly: {A-Spades}{2-Diamonds}
Opponent: {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts}

The board ran out {2-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and Shelly doubled up. Shelly is still one of the short stacks but has a little more room to wait for his next all-in moment.

Steen Takes Another Hit

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Rasmus Vogt just ended up all in versus Yngve Steen. Steen, winner of the WCOOP leader board, started the day out as one of the chip leaders but so far today hasn't been kind to the Norwegian pro.

Vogt: {A-Hearts}{7-Hearts}
Steen: {As]{9-Diamonds}

The board ran out {9-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and Vogt's flush took down the pot. Vogt was all in for 75,500 and is now back in it with around 165,000 chips.
