Kevin Vandersmissen's fall from grace was completed as he busted as most players had gone on break.
Vojtech Ruzicka bet the flop, bet the turn and shoved the river on a board. Vandersmissen called all the way and all in on the river with . Ruzicka opened and took the pot and the scalp.
His chips were in a big messy pile but a full round of chips are taking place on the break and will be posted shortly.
Alain Goldberg opened to 6,100 in the cutoff and Benjamin Pollak flat-called in the big bling. Pollak then check-called a 7,500 continuation bet from Goldberg on a flop.
The turn was a flush-completing and when Pollak checked Goldberg snap-checked behind. This led to Pollak taking an 8,600 sized stab at the pot when the completed the board, but he soon folded when Goldberg moved all-in on him.
Pollak has over 200,000 chips so he will not be too worried about losing a few to Goldberg here.
Ilan Boujenah is closing in on the quarter of a million chips mark thanks in part to him busting out Finland's Joni Jouhkimainen.
Jouhkimainen got his chips into the middl from the button holding and Boujenah called in the big blind with . The board ran out , Jouhkimainen drawing dead by the turn.
"I always run up a stack on day twos," said a happy Timothy Reilly to Jason Koon. The boy certainly isn't lying about this day 2. He just busted Imed Ben Mahmoud to take the chip lead with a massive 390,000 chips.
Reilly told us that he opened the cut-off with jacks and called when shoved with pocket sevens from the big blind.
Former World Series of Poker Main Event champion and current Team PokerStars Pro Jonathan Duhamel is short stacked but he is trying valiantly to claw his way back into contention here in Deauville.
Benjamin Pollak opened to 6,000 from middle position and Duhamel was next to act and he moved all-in for around 45,000. Pollak paused for a few moments before passing his cards back to the dealer.

Alain Goldberg is one of the shorter stacks in the field and it appears he is taking measures to turn his fortunes around because he has started moving all-in preflop.
Goldberg moved in twice in consecutive hands and each time picked up the blinds and antes. Surely it is only a matter of time before Goldberg gets called.
