Jacobson Freerolling on a 100K

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Martin Jacobson
Martin Jacobson

Somehow Martin Jacobson is still in this tournament despite running kings into the aces of Kevin MacPhee.

Jacobson was just moved onto the table and three-bet a MacPhee button raise whilst in the big blind. MacPhee called pre flop, a flop bet and a 36,000 turn bet before both players checked the river. The final board read {8-Clubs}{q-Spades}{q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}.

Jacobson opened {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds} and a shocked MacPhee opened {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}.

"Nits!", "Wow!", and "Sick!" came out of the mouths of the other table mates.

The pot went to MacPhee who's up to 320,000; Jacobson dropped to 108,000.

Kitai Plays Aces Cautiously

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Vladimir Troyanovski had broken through the 400k barrier but is back under that mark after he lost a pot to Davidi Kitai and his pocket aces.

The action folded around to Troyanovski on the button and he raised to 11,000. Kitai was in the big blind and three-bet to 28,000.

Troyanovski called and also called a 22,000 c-bet on the {j-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{5-Spades} flop. No more made their way forward as both players checked down the {j-Spades}{9-Spades} turn and river.

Kitai opened {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} and Troyanovski mucked.

Kitai's Snake Folds out Troyanovski

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Davidi Kitai
Davidi Kitai

Davidi Kitai is right up there with the chip leaders and has shown that he is not afraid to take on fellow big stacks.

On a {k-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop, Kitai lead out for 28,000 from the small blind and a minute later Troyanovski called. Kiti placed his scarf over his mouth — his trademark pose — as the dealer put the {Q-Diamonds} into play. Kitai now picked up a pile of chips worth 48,000 and flicked them past the betting line. They spread onto the felt like a grey snake that had a green head!

We're not sure if the serpent-like bet scared Troyanovski or not but it resulted in him folding his hand. Kitai took another look at his cards and from his expression it looks like he may have wanted a call.

Nagygyorgy Locks Horns With Jacobson

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Janos Nagygyorgy does not have the best seat in the house right now as he has to contend with the likes of Kevin MacPhee, JC Alvarado and Martin Jacobson among others. He has just gone head-to-head with the latter.

On a {q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{3-Hearts} flop, Jacobson checked to Nagygyorgy from the small blind. Nagygyorgy then bet 13,000 from the UTG+1 seat. Jacobson was not done with the hand, instead he check-raised to 45,000 to put Nagygyorgy under pressure. Nagygyorgy then put in a raise of his own, one to 93,000. Jacobson had seen enough and let his hand go.

Hajiyevv Gives up on the River

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Ramin Hajiyev
Ramin Hajiyev

Ramin Hajiyev has slipped to 160,000 chips after he elected to give up on the river of a {3-Spades}{a-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{6-Spades} board.

He was battling with Alexandre Reard who raised to 10,000 from early position. Hajiyev three-bet to 28,000 from the small blind and c-bet 23,000 on the flop after Reard called.

From there on it was Reard who became the aggressor, betting 32,000 and 45,000 on the turn and river when checked to him. Hajiyev stuck around on the turn before he admitted defeat on the river.

Mateos Shoves on Nagygyorgy

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Janos Nagygyorgy looked like he was very close to pulling the trigger and building a large pot in a hand with Adrian Mateos, but he just couldn't quite pull the trigger.

Mateos opened to 11,000 in the cutoff and Nagygyorgy defended his big blind with a call. Nagygyorgy then checked the arrival of the {7-Spades}{10-Spades}{3-Clubs} flop, Mateos bet another 11,000 and Nagygyorgy check-raised to 35,000. Mateos sat completely motionless before leaping into life and moving all in for 128,000.

This shove rocked Nagygyorgy and he looked pained in his decision making. He counted out the correct number of chips before growing increasingly agitated as time went by. Eventually, Nagygyorgy opted for a fold and Mateos got to work stacking his new found chips.

Ruzicka Continues To Rebuild

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Vojtech Ruzicka is continuing to rebuild his stack by taking on Davidi Kitai and Team PokerStars Pro Vicky Coren.

On a {q-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} flop, Kitai lead for 7,500 from the small blind and Coren called. This left Ruzicka, on the button as the only player left to act, and act he did, making it 23,000 to play. Kitai snap folded and Coren gave him a look that suggested she blamed him for costing here 7,500 chips.

"I'd have preferred to have been alone," said Coren to Ruzicka.
