"On y va, s'il vous plaît!"

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

The remaining 29 players have heeded the announcer's call to return to their seats, and play has resumed in the EPT Deauville Main Event.

The plan today is to play down to 24 players or through three more 90-minute levels, whichever comes first.

Amoroso All In, All Out

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Following an opening raise from the hijack seat by Cyril Andre, Pietro Amoroso reraised all in from the button for 332,000 total and it folded over to Joseph Mouawad in the big blind. Mouawad didn't act right away, first inquiring how much Amoroso's push was for. After about a half-minute Mouawad then announced he was all in as well, and Andre let his hand go.

Mouawad showed {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} while Amoroso had two live cards with {K-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}. The board brought nothing higher than an eight, however, coming {8-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Spades}, then {4-Clubs}, then {3-Clubs}, and Amoroso is out in 29th.

Alert Eilert Reads Right, Still Calls El Khoury

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Following a cutoff raise by Joseph El Khoury, Eilert Eilertsen defended his big blind with a call, and the pair saw the flop come {9-Hearts}{6-Spades}{K-Clubs}. Eilertsen checked, El Khoury bet 41,000, and Eilertsen called. Both players then checked the {J-Spades} turn.

The river brought the {10-Clubs}. This time Eilertsen pushed out a bet of 70,000, and after about a minute El Khoury responded with a raise to 210,000.

Eilertsen nodded, saying "ace-queen" as he sat back to contemplate the situation. Finally after about two minutes he leaned forward to set out the calling chips, saying "Show me your ace-queen" as he did.

El Khoury then obliged, turning over {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}, and dragged the pot.

Scourge of the Middle Class, Sam Grafton on Day 3
Scourge of the Middle Class, Sam Grafton on Day 3

On a flop of {9-Hearts}{7-Spades}{5-Hearts} Glen Cymbaluk bet 32,000 only for Sam Grafton to make it 88,000. Cymbaluk made the call to see the {A-Diamonds} on the turn where he checked.

"117,000" said Grafton in his distinctive Cockney voice and Cymbaluk made a very quick call.

The {3-Spades} came on the river and Cymbaluk checked again, Grafton took about 30 seconds before betting 280,000 and Cymbal again made another quick call.

Grafton showed {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and Cymbaluk mucked allowing the Englishman to rake in a pot worth over a million chips.

Aznar's Nerve Lessens Herve's Verve

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

With about 200,000 in the middle and the board showing {K-Spades}{J-Clubs}{2-Spades}{Q-Hearts}, Matthieu Herve checked, and when Pascal Aznar bet 145,000, Herve made the call.

The river brought the {4-Hearts} and another check from Herve. Aznar instantly announced he was all in, and a subsequent count determined his shove was for 262,000.

Herve brooded for more than a minute, then called. Aznar showed {K-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} for two pair, better than Herve's {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}, and Aznar earned the big double up.

Eilertsen Costs Bills

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Eilert Eilertsen opened for 36,000 from middle position, James Bills raised to 82,000 from the button, then Eilertsen announced he was four-betting to 170,000. Bills then said he reraising all in even before Eilertsen could count out the chips for his reraise.

Eilertsen finished put out his bet, then blinked slowly as he thought through what to do. "I'm more or less committed to this," he said, looking down at the 300,000 or so he had behind. Bills meanwhile had him covered with about half a million chips.

Finally Eilertsen called, showing {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}, and Bills turned over {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}. The flop came {3-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{3-Clubs} to pair Eilertsen right off, and after the {10-Spades} turn and {2-Spades} river Eilertsen had scored a huge double while Bills had fallen to below 200,000.

Guiglini Unloads the Clip

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Aurelien Guiglini
Aurelien Guiglini

Yury Gulyy (Hello Yury if you're reading this!) raised to 32,000 preflop before Aurelien Guiglini made it 88,000 out of the small blind. The Russian made the call to see a flop of {3-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{4-Hearts}. Guiglini bet 80,000 and Gulyy made the call once more to see the {Q-Clubs} on the turn, this time the Frenchman bet 180,000. Gulyy took some more time but again made the call.

The river was the {A-Clubs} and this time Guiglini tanked, after a while he slid out three and a half large stacks of grey chips amounting to 350,000 to put the pressure back on Gulyy. The cameras surrounded the table as Gulyy thought again but after several minutes, this time he gave up his hand.

Cohen Check-Calls Out

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Lucien Cohen
Lucien Cohen

Preflop action left Lucien Cohen and Cyril Andre alone to see a {9-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop. From there Cohen checked, Andre bet 38,000, and Cohen called.

The subsequent two streets went similarly, though the pace slowed with each new card. The turn brought the {A-Diamonds} and a check, a bet of 100,000 from Andre, and another call from Cohen. The river then came the {4-Clubs}. Cohen checked again, and this time Andre shoved all in.

Cohen looked down over his enormous plastic rat at his remaining 400,000 chips or so, then made the call. Andre quickly tabled his {2-Hearts}{2-Spades} for a flopped set turned full house, and Cohen showed his second-best {A-Hearts}{10-Clubs} before departing in 28th place avec his rat.

Bills Bounced

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

James Bills has seen his EPT Deauville Main Event tournament run end in 27th place. After taking that big hit shortly before when his kings were cracked by Eilert Eilertsen, Bills committed his last 220,000 or so with {A-Spades}{8-Hearts} and run into the {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} of Joseph Mouawad.

The board ran out {J-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{2-Hearts}, and Bills hit the rail as Mouawad edged near the 1.2 million-chip mark.
