Sotirios Koutoupas opened to 100,000 from the hijack with {A-Spades}{4-Spades}. Harry Law called on the button with {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} and Eugene Katchalov came along from the big blind with {K-Clubs}{8-Hearts}.

Katchalov made middle pair on {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and lead for 150,000. Initial raiser Koutoupas folded but Harry Law made the call holding top pair. Both players checked the {5-Hearts} on the turn and the {2-Hearts} hit the river. Katchalov bet another 150,000 and Law made the call.

Law took it down and traded places with Katchalov on the leaderboard.

Sotirios Koutoupas opened to 105,000 from under the gun plus one with {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}. Action quickly folded to Anthony Lerust in the small blind. Lerust pushed for 1,005,000 with {A-Clubs}{A-Spades} and the big blind folded. Koutoupas made the call and the last Frenchman was at risk.

The {9-Spades}{10-Clubs}{8-Clubs} on the flop brought Koutoupas four direct outs. The {K-Hearts} on the turn gave the Greek player even more outs. The {Q-Clubs} on the river was one of the cards the man from Greece needed and a disappointed Lerust shook hands with all the players at the table and made his way to the exit.

Back to back bustouts as on the very next hand another player was eliminated...

From under-the-gun+1 Oliver Price opened to 100,000 with {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}, Carlo De Benedittis shoved for 365,000 with {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and Price made the call.

The {K-Spades}{7-Spades}{J-Clubs} flop meant that neither player wanted to hit their kicker, the {3-Clubs} turn and {3-Spades} river kept Price in front and we lose Carlo De Benedittis in seventh.

Rustem Muratov Severely Crippled

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Rustem Muratov
Rustem Muratov

Eli Heath opened the cut off to 100,000 holding {9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}. Behind him sat the last qualifier Rustem Muratov with {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs} and he shoved all in for a little over 1.5 million. Muratov wouldn't find his foe in Heath though, Oliver Price was behind him holding {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs} and called all in.

Heath folded and the show down was there. Heath would have out flopped both of them: {8-Hearts}{9-Spades}{3-Diamonds}. The {10-Hearts} on the turn and {K-Spades} on the river were no good for Muratov and he had just 20,000 left. 10,000 of that he had to invest as ante in the next hand.

Rustem Muratov Eliminated in Sixth Place (€128,200)

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Rustem Muratov
Rustem Muratov

Although he had a chip and chair there would be no miracle comeback for Rustem Muratov.

He did manage to quadruple up with pocket kings against Harry Law's {A-Hearts}{6-Hearts}. The next hand he moved all-in for 40,000 with {6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}, Oliver Price raised the button with {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} and got calls from Harry Law with {J-Hearts}{9-Hearts} and Eugene Katchalov with {K-Diamonds}{10-Spades}.

On the {4-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{10-Clubs} flop Price bet 125,000 and Katchalov was the only caller. The {8-Spades} turn improved Price to trips but both players checked, then the {4-Hearts} hit the river. Katchalov checked to Price who bet 320,000. Jon Spinks thought that Price's bet was too big to get paid off, but Katchalov called and saw the bad news.

So Muratov is gone in sixth, whilst Katchalov is now the shortest stack of the five remaining players.

Hand Analysis

With Rustem Muratov all in, an interesting dynamic was created as Oliver Price and Eugene Katchalov found themselves vying for what became a considerable side pot. Read more about the strategy involved in this hand on Learn.PokerNews in "Lessons from EPT10 Deauville: Side Pot Action After All In."

Law Flops a Flush

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 5,000 ante
Chun Ho Law
Chun Ho Law

Harry law opened to 120,000 from the under the gun position. He found one interested party in Oliver Price in the big blind. Price held {Q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} and would soon get in trouble.

{Q-Spades}{4-Spades}{10-Spades}

Law would take Price to value town betting all three streets. Price didn't find a spot where he would lay it down and he check called all the way. Price paid 120,000 on the flop, 255,000 on the {2-Clubs} turn and 620,000 on the {3-Diamonds} river.

Law quickly showed his flopped flush, and with a little frown Price mucked.

Katchalov Doubles through Law

Harry Law opened the small blind to 180,000 with {A-Spades}{J-Diamonds}. "Ow, this can get messy" said co commentator Marc Convey as the graphics revealed Eugene Katchalov had {10-Hearts}{10-Spades} in the big blind.

Katchalov made it 450,000 and action was back on Law. He announced all in, Katchalov double checked his cards and called. Law frowned on getting such a quick call. He might have expected to maybe be dominated, but probably was ok seeing he had a coinflip situation.

The {7-Spades}{2-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop was no harm for Katchalov. Law had some backdoor outs but the {8-Hearts} on the turn ensured he needed to hit an ace or jack to win it.

The {6-Diamonds} on the river was a blank and Katchalov doubled up into second place.

Harry Law Eliminated in 5th Place (€164,600)

Level 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante
Harry Law
Harry Law

Harry Law opened under the gun to 160,000 with {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}. Law wanted action but wasn't getting it from Eli Heath who folded. Sotirios Koutoupas in the small blind had a big hand though with {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts} and surely wasn't folding. You could feel the tension in the air, the commentators of the live stream already foresaw big action.

Koutoupas made it 440,000 to go and Oliver Price quickly folded. Getting a three bet with pocket aces, Christmas came early for Law. He four bet to 985,000 and action was back on Koutoupas. The Greek shoved all in, Law immediately called.

The biggest pot of the tournament with 8,230,000 in chips in the middle. Law's graphic said he was a 87% favorite to win the hand.

It said 2% after the flop: {5-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{7-Hearts}.

Law now needed runner runner straight flush for a split pot, or runner runner board pair something to win it. It wouldn't happen. {3-Spades} on the turn and it was all over for Law. The {9-Spades} on the river was there just to make it official.

Law exits in 5th place, taking home €164,600 after suffering this horrible beat.

Eli Heath Eliminated in Fourth Place (€207,800)

Level 30 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante
Eli Heath - fourth
Eli Heath - fourth

Back to back eliminations for the second time at this final table, albeit this time they were separated by a 20 minute break.

From under-the-gun Eli Heath moved all-in for 1,230,000 (12 big blinds) with {A-Spades}{8-Clubs}, next to act Sotirios Koutoupas called with {K-Hearts}{J-Spades}, both blinds folded and it was time to go to showdown.

Yet again Heath had got it in good, but yet again he'd be brutally outflopped as the first three community cards were {J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}. Heath was now just an 11% shot to stay in the tournament. He didn't get there on the {7-Diamonds} turn or {3-Hearts} river and shook the hand of his opponents as he left the table.

Eli HeathAbsolutely heartbroken. Gave it my absolute all and ran like death at the end. I will be back to win a big field live MTT soon! #eptlive

Oliver Price Eliminated in 3rd Place (€271,200)

Level 30 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante
Oliver Price
Oliver Price

Sotirios Koutoupas opened the small blind to 250,000 holding {K-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}. Oliver Price didn't have all that many big blinds left anymore and pushed all in with {K-Spades}{9-Clubs} from the big blind. Snap call by Koutoupas.

Commentator Joe Stapleton jokingly said that Koutoupas would have this confrontation locked up after the flop, the way he has been running this final table.

"Ha!" Stapleton shouted as the {Q-Clubs} window card became visible. The {7-Spades} and {6-Diamonds} that accompanied the queen for the flop gave Price something of a chance. Only one out of twenty times would Price still win this certain situation though.

"So you're telling me there's a chance?!"

The {8-Hearts} on the turn turned Price's 5% hand into an 18% hand. With an up and down, every ten and five would now give him the much needed double up. All other cards would mean he was out.

The river was a {9-Diamonds} and the fairy tale was over for Price. Price, who wasn't planning on playing this event until Dominik Nitsche convinced him, walks away with €271,200 during his second ever EPT.
