Negreanu Starts Trouble

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Daniel Negreanu opened for 10,000 and Ping San Chan made the call. Wei Seng Phua then raised to 30,000 and from the button Patrik Antonius bumped it up some more, making it 83,000.

Everyone got out of the way apart from Phua who moved all in for a total of 338,500 and the decision was now Antonius’s to make. He got the count, asked how much more it was and sat stock still for a couple of minutes.

John Juanda strolled by the table and Negreanu called out to him, “I started all this trouble.”

Antonius made the call and saw Phua turn over {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}. “Chop.” said Phua when he saw the {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} of Antonius.

So it was as the cards ran out {7-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{k-Spades}{j-Spades} and each player received a tiny boost to their stack.
