Some of the High Rollers already asked tournament staff when coming back from the break, and the registration for the event ends with the start of level nine. There will be another break at the end of level eight and when play resumes, the field size will be known and promises to be impressive.
Anthony Zinno was already standing up to make his exit at the moment we arrived. According to Chance Kornuth both Zinno and Pique got their chips in the middle before the flop. Zinno had but was trailing the of Pique. The board ran out and Zinno made his exit.
Martin Finger has also made his exit, the defending champion still has the option to reenter if he wishes so.

With around 50,000 in the pot and the board reading , Martin Jacobson bet 25,000 from the cutoff and Philipp Gruissem then moved all in from the button. Jacobson didn't ask for a count, as he folded rather quickly.
JC Alvarado opened to 7,000 from the cutoff and Francisco Benitez three-bet to 19,000 from the button. Sylvain Loosli asked to see the stack of Benitez and then four-bet to 48,000 in the big blind. Alvarado quickly folded, but Benitez moved all in to force a quick fold from Loosli.

Fedor Holz was missing from the table and we asked Tobias Reinkemeier what had happened to his former table mate. He told us Farid Jattin was the one responsible.
Jattin, who finished fifth in the WPT Championship for $238,070 last February, told us he had opened under the gun and Holz had called from the big blind. Holz then check shoved for his last 25,000 over Jattin's 10,000 continuation bet on a flop of . Jattin made the call with and was up against the suited of Holz. Jattin hit a to eliminate Holz.
Fedor Holz still has the option to reenter, so the field isn't rid of him totally just yet.
