Laurent Michot
Laurent Michot

Gaby Livshitz raised to 100,000 with the {a-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and Dietrich Fast in the small blind called with the {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}. The flop brought {k-Spades}{j-Hearts}{9-Clubs} and Fast checked, as did Livshitz. Fast paired up on the {7-Clubs} turn and he checked once more, no bet by Livshitz followed.

The {6-Clubs} came on the river and Fast checked the third street in a row. Livshitz made it 150,000 to go and Fast folded the best hand.

Laurent Michot opened to 120,000 from early position with the {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs} and Norbert Szecsi came along out of the big blind with the {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}. Michot hit top pair on {q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and they both checked. After the {2-Spades} turn, Szecsi checked once more and Michot bet 125,000, Szecsi called with his gutshot.

The river brought a blank {4-Hearts} and Szecsi checked, Michot now bet 275,000 and collected the pot without showdown.

Gab Yong Kim Eliminated in 9th Place (€74,770)

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Gab Yong Kim
Gab Yong Kim

Gaby Livshitz opened the action with a raise to 80,000 from under the gun with the {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts} and Gab Yong Kim three-bet out of the small blind for 315,000. Chip leader Norbert Szecsi four-bet out of the big blind to 825,000 and Livshitz quickly got out of the way.

Kim gave it some consideration and moved all in for 3,155,000 in total. That immediately sent Szecsi into the think tank with his hand into the head. He made the call half a minute later, then shook his head right away.

Gab Yong Kim: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}
Norbert Szecsi: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

Kim was a four-to-one favorite heading into the showdown but the {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} flop gave Szecsi a flush draw to improve to 11 outs. Nothing changed with a blank {4-Spades} turn but the {j-Diamonds} on the river improved Szecsi to a winning flush.

From potentially losing a big portion of his stack, Szecsi suddenly moved into a commanding lead with 275 big blinds, more than two times of his nearest follower. Kim's run ends in 9th place and he takes home €74,770.

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Norbert Szecsi raised to 100,000 with the {j-Spades}{10-Diamonds} and Ricardo Da Rocha called on the button with the {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}. The flop came {k-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and Szecsi checked his option, a bet of 125,000 by Da Rocha won the pot.

Szecsi opened to 100,000 the next hand with the {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds} and Tomas Paiva called in the small blind with the {6-Spades}{6-Hearts}. On a flop of {k-Spades}{10-Clubs}{3-Clubs} both checked and did so again on the {9-Diamonds} turn. The {a-Hearts} river was checked, too, and Szecsi recovered the chips he had just lost.
