Vaskaboinikau Gets There on the River

Level 14 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Mikalai Vaskaboinikau
Mikalai Vaskaboinikau

Steve O'Dwyer limped in from the small blind and Mikalai Vaskaboinikau checked his option.

The flop came J46 and O'Dwyer led out for 40,000. Vaskaboinikau then moved all in for 202,000 and O'Dwyer called.

Mikalai Vaskaboinikau: 75
Steve O'Dwyer: 76

O'Dwyer was ahead with his pair of sixes, while Vaskaboinikau was on a straight draw. The K turn left Vaskaboinikau down to his last card to avoid being eliminated on the bubble. The river came the 3 and Vaskaboinikau completed his straight to double up, leaving O'Dwyer as a short stack.

Adams Eliminated; Grafton Doubles

Level 13 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Timothy Adams
Timothy Adams

Timothy Adams shoved 163,000 under the gun, and Mikalai Vaskaboinikau called in the cutoff before Sam Grafton moved all-in on the button. Vaskaboinikau asked for a count and called after hearing it was 306,000.

Timothy Adams: 99
Sam Grafton: AK
Mikalai Vaskaboinikau: AQ

Adams was in the lead with a pair of nines until the A103 flop hit the felt, pairing the ace for both of his opponents. Adams was unable to catch another diamond or a nine as the board completed with the 8 turn and J river, sending him out of the tournament while Grafton's king-kicker earned him the double.

Vaskaboinikau Shoves Four Times

Level 12 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Mikalai Vaskaboinikau
Mikalai Vaskaboinikau

Mikalai Vaskaboinikau was left short stacked after handing over the double up to Timothy Adams and just survived four all-in shoves in a row.

The second time, Kayhan Mokri tanked in the big blind after Vaskaboinikau moved in for around 200,000 and folded what he claimed were pocket fives. "Fives I call myself," Vaskaboinikau told him. The next hand, Vaskaboinikau shoved again and showed AQ when the rest of the table folded.

Mokri then raised to 26,000 in the cutoff and Adams called on the button. Vaskaboinikau, in the big blind, moved all in for 253,000 and Mokri quickly folded. Adams gave the decision some thought but eventually joined Mokri in the muck as Vaskaboinikau showed the 6.

Adams Snaps Off Vaskaboinikau

Level 12 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Timothy Adams
Timothy Adams

Mikalai Vaskaboinikau raised to 24,000 in the hijack and received calls from Kayhan Mokri in the small blind and big blind Timothy Adams.

All three players checked the A92 flop before Mokri led out for 62,000 on the 5 turn. Adams used two time banks before he called.

Vaskaboinikau then splashed in a raise of 395,000, leaving himself 10,000 behind, and Mokri quickly folded. Adams, though, snap-called for his last 210,000 and turned over 22 for a flopped set.

Vaskaboinikau could only show AK and handed over the massive double once the 8 completed the board.

Alejandro Lococo: A5
Mikalai Vaskaboinikau: AK

"That's not good," Lococo said as the K fell in the window, followed by the 6J. Lococo was already drawing dead after the 8 turn and began going around the table giving his tablemates a fist bump before the 8 river sealed the elimination of "Papo MC."

Jean-Noel Thorel
Jean-Noel Thorel

Jean-Noel Thorel opened 25,000 in middle position and Alejandro Lococo came along in the big blind.

On the QJ8 flop, Lococo check-called a bet of 29,000.

The 9 fell on the turn, and both players checked to see the 9 river.

Lococo took the lead, firing 107,000 into the middle, and Thorel jammed all-in for 179,000.

Lococo leaned back in his chair in distress as he tossed time bank chips to the dealer. After a couple of minutes, he made the call.

Thorel tabled 1010 for a straight, and Lococo showed 84 as the dealer pushed the pot to Thorel.
