The 6♠ river checked to a showdown. Vogelsang's pair of sevens was out in front of Antonius' sixes, allowing him to lay claim to the first pot of heads-up play.

The 6♥6♠5♠ flop saw the action check to Pardo, who bet out 180,000. Vogelsang responded with a check-raise to 550,000 and the Pardo called.

The K♣ turn slowed down both Vogelsang and Pardo as they checked through to 9♠ on the river. Vogelsang checked again and Pardo bet out a sizeable 1,300,000.

Vogelsang moved all in, putting Pardo at risk for his effective stack of 2,390,000. Pardo burnt through several time banks before making the call.
