With Juha Helppi and Ivan Soshkinov rather short, no one is really wanting to take any risk it seems. The spots are small, and mostly raise and take it the last couple of minutes. No big show downs yet.
Juha Helppi started proceedings with a raise to 160,000 from under the gun. He was called by Leonid Markin on the button and the two watched the flop come down .
Helppi threw out a continuation bet of 200,000 which was called before opting to check the on the turn. Markin took the chance to bet out 200,000 after facing the check which was called.
The completed the board and both players quickly checked their options. Helppi tabled his for a full house before Markin rolled over his for the same full house.
Stephen Chidwick just took down a small pot where he limped the cutoff and took the pot down with a small bet on against a check folding Ivan Soshnikov in the big blind.
The next hand would see Paul Newey open the cutoff for 160,000. Leonid Markin called from the big blind and both players checked the flop. Leonid check called a bet of 125,000 after the hit the turn, only for both players to check again on the river. Markin showed , Newey mucked.
The action started with Stephen Chidwick raising to 160,000 from the cut off. Paul Newey was on the button and thought about his decision for a moment before bumping it up to 425,000. Ivan Soshnikov was on the small blind and looked down at his cards before moving all in for his remaining 730,000 in chips. Chidwick quickly folded and Newey called.

Soshnikov had run into an over pair and was unable to improve as the board ran out to see his day finish in 5th place.

Stephen Chidwick limped the button for 80,000, Paul Newey completed the small blind and Juha Helppi checked the big blind.
Newey checked to Helppi on and the Fin lead out for 175,000. Chidwick was the only one calling, Newey folded after some thinking.
The hit the turn and made Helppi bet out 275,000. Chidwick folded after checking how much his Finnish opponent had behind which wasn't much.
Today Team PokerStars Pro Online Ike Haxton's playing another EPT series in Prague, but today we were more interested to hear when he played his first one. Haxton gave us the story and also looked back on that huge bluff he made against Ryan Daut at the 2007 PCA final table.

The flop came down and Markin checked. Chidwick reached for his chips and bet out another 225,000. Markin paused for a moment before throwing out 350,000.
“You’ve put out to much,” said the dealer, cutting out the bet.
“It was a raise. What is the minimum,” said Markin. The dealer told him the amount and Markin made it 450,000 to go.
Chichwick made the call before the dropped on the turn. Markin once again checked and watched as Chidwick promptly slid in 445,000 in chips.
Markin tanked for over a minute before releasing his hand into the muck.

The action started with Leonid Markin raising to 160,000 from under the gun. Juha Helppi made the call from the big blind and both players watched the flop come down .
Helppi checked before Markin threw out a continuation bet worth 160,000. Helppi thought for a moment before raising it up to 400,000. Markin then instantly moved all in for 4.5 million which took Helppi by surprise.
The scheduled break had just started as Helppi went into the tank. A few minutes passed before Helppi began trying to get some answers.
“Do you have a good hand?” asked Helppi. “Will you show me if I call?” he added. Markin just shook his head.
“Tell me after the hand,” joked Helppi. Again Markin just shook his head.
Five minutes had passed before Markin turned to the clock before speaking out.
“Can you pause the clock. I just need to go upstairs and have a shower after this hand,” said Markin.
“You have clubs?” asked Helppi.
“I cant remember,” replied Markin.
“Can you check?” added Helppi.
“I have a rule to never look back at my cards after I go all in,” added Markin.
After an eight minute tank Helppi finally called with his 950,000 behind and the cards were tabled.
