The action started with Leonid Markin raising to 62,000 from the hijack. Stephen Chidwick bumped it up to 150,000 from the button which forced both players on the blinds out of the hand. Markin made the call and both players watched the flop come down .
Markin checked as Chidwick then threw out a continuation bet of 150,000 in chips. Markin quickly moved all in for 1,747,000 and was snap called.

Markin was in trouble of being eliminated but received extra straight outs as the fell on the turn. He would strike gold on the river completing a flush and giving him the winning hand against Chidwick’s trips.
Chidwick has dropped down to 395,000 in chips as Markin now leads the pack with 3,875,000 in chips.
Mustapha Kanit open shoved his remaining 74,000 in before the flop from middle position. Action folded to Leonid Markin in the big blind. Everyone expected him to call as it was just 44,000 more, but he folded.
Brian Roberts, second to last in chips, raised an eyebrow and voiced his concerns with this controversial decision by Markin. The floor came over and Roberts explained that he found it remarkable that Markin folded for just 1.5 big blinds more, though he added that he didn't really think that Markin and Kanit were friends or anything.
The floor didn't hand out any penalties in the end, saying Markin was in his right to fold in the spot. Chidwick in the one seat thought out loud that one of the reasons someone in Markin's spot could fold, would be to be able to keep the pressure on the entire table with a shorty like Kanit still in.
"Anyway guys, I had six-four" said Markin with a kind of puzzled look on his face. The dealer continued to deal and the nine remaining players were off to the next hand.
Leonid Markin raised to 75,000 from early position and was called by Stephen Chidwick and Juha Helppi in the small blind. On the flop, Helppi check-folded his cards whereas Markin made a continuation bet of 130,000 and Chidwick called said amount.
The on the turn saw another barrel by the Russian for 220,000 and Chidwick obliged before the fell on the river. Markin fired a final bet of 375,000 and Chidwick called. The Russian showed for queens and eights, but Chidwick had that beat with for kings and sevens.
Martin jacobson raised to 60,000 from early positiion and Juha Helppi defended his big blind to see the flop of . Helppi check-called a continuation bet of 50,000 and both opponents then checked down the on the turn and the on the river. Helppi showed the but that was only second best to the of Jacobson.
From under the gun, Juha Helppi raised to 60,000 and was called by Stephen Chidwick on the button and Paul Newey in the small blind. Mustapha Kanit moved all in from the big blind and Helppi called all in for 691,000 whereas Chidwick and Newey got out of the way.

The Italian needed a lot of help(pi) in order to avoid a crucial blow to his stack, but the board ran out to leave Kanit very short.

Leonid Markin was first to act and opened to 72,000 from under the gun. The action folded around to Mustapha Kanit in the cut off who announced all in for his last 428,000 in chips. The button and blinds got out of the way then Markin made the call.
