That high total creates a prize pool of $855,540 with 63 players guaranteed the money with a min-cash being worth $3,067. The winner is slated to take home an astounding $191,723 top prize.

At the end of the day the chip leader was Mike Comisso with 513,000. His large stack is still some distance behind Day 1b chip leader Adam Friedman, who bagged an outrageous 807,000, and it also trails Day 1a chip leader Brian Frye, who sits at 537,000.

Among the 59 players to advance to Sunday’s Day 2 include 2018 Bracelet winner Joey Couden (370,000), Randy Froehlich (475,500), Andy Spears (314,000), Ben Grise (384,500) and Ryan Rogers (285,000).

Some notable players who will not be playing Day 2 after busting 1c are four-time HPT Champion Greg Raymer, Hae Yim, Karam Dhillon, current HPT POY points leader Greg Wood, David "The Maven" Gutfreund, and Igor Ioffe.

Those moving on will combine with the survivors of Day 1a/b to create an exciting Day 2 which will begin at 11 a.m. on Sunday with 94 players returning to action. The start of the day average stack will be 187,650 with play beginning at level 16 with blinds at 2500/5000/5000.

Calderon Hits River to Stay Alive

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

The board read {a-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} and Seat 2 was facing a tough decision from Howard Calderon who had shoved all in for about 66,000.

After a few moments the clock was called by a player at the table not involved in the hand.

"That was only like 40 seconds," remarked Seat 2 as the floor came over and the dealer explained the situation.

The countdown was not needed as Seat 2 made the call shortly after and turned over {a-Spades}{j-Spades} which was in the lead versus Calderon's {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}.

The turn was an innocuous {7-Hearts} but the river was not so innocuous as the {9-Hearts} fell to save Calderon with the winning set of nines.
