Glaser Loses One As Play Slows Dramatically

Level 31 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

The pots that are being played have all been very small, as players are eager to make the final table.

The one significant one that did happen involved Vincent Sanchez and Benny Glaser in a blind-on-blind battle. Sanchez had raised his small blind to 460,000, which Glaser called in the big blind after thinking for a good while.

The flop fell {9-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{a-Hearts} and Sanchez fired a continuation-bet for 600,000. Glaser obliged with a call and the {k-Clubs} turn graced the eyes of everyone. Sanchez slowed down and checked and Glaser followed suit.

The {3-Hearts} paired the board on the river and that caused Sanchez to bet 800,000. Glaser mulled it over for a while before putting in the call, immediately being shown the {a-Clubs}{k-Spades} of Sanchez, who had slowplayed his two pair on the turn.

Glaser only showed his {a-Diamonds}, which was not enough to win him a part of this pot.

Rice Doubles Up With Aces

Level 31 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Declan Rice - Vincent Sanchez
Declan Rice - Vincent Sanchez

Vincent Sanchez raised to 240,000 from early position and Steve Watts made the call. Declan Rice moved all in from the big blind for 1,785,000 chips and Sanchez called. Watts shook his head and mucked his hand and two players flipped their cards, with Rice at risk of elimination.

Declan Rice: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}
Vincent Sanchez: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}

Rice had the pocket aces, leaving Sanchez far behind. The board ran out {2-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{2-Hearts}{2-Clubs}. Rice managed to fade a nine and doubled up to stay in the game.

Shamus Cahill raised from the button to 240,000 and Carl Shaw pushed all in from the small blind. Austin Putnam Johnson already had his remaining chips in the middle in the big blind. Cahill folded to Shaw's reshove and two players flipped their cards.

Austin Putnam Johnson: {q-Spades}{j-Spades}
Carl Shaw: {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds}

The board brought no joy for Johnson as it ran out {9-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{k-Clubs}. Shaw's pocket fives held up and Johnson was eliminated in 17th place for €15,050.

Watts Doubles and Johnson's Stack Depleted

Level 30 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Steve Watts

Tom Waters raised to 250,000 from middle position and Austin Putnam Johnson pushed all in from the button for 1,750,000. Steve Watts announced that he was all in and pushed his chips in the middle. Waters folded and two players flipped their cards. Watts had slightly more chips and so Johnson was the player at risk.

Steve Watts: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Austin Putnam Johnson: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

The board ran out {9-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}. The board brought no help for Johnson and so Watts' pocket queens held up for the double. Johnson was left with just a few big blinds behind.

Ankit Ahuja Eliminated In 18th place (€12,500)

Level 30 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Ankit Ahuja
Ankit Ahuja

Andy Black had got a reshove through the hand before. The following hand he open shoved from late position and was called by Ankit Ahuja. Black had Ahuja covered as players flipped their cards.

Ankit Ahuja: {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
Andy Black: {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}

It was a coinflip situation as the dealer laid out the cards. The board came {8-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{4-Spades}{9-Diamonds}. Ahuja hit a pair of queens on the flop but the river brought Black the straight to give him the pot.

Ahuja was eliminated in 18th place for €12,500.

Black shook his opponent's hand as Ahuja got up to leave the table.

Michel Molenaar Eliminated in 19th Place (€12,500)

Level 30 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Michel Molenaar
Michel Molenaar

The action folded to Michel Molenaar on the button, who chose to limp in for 100,000. Small blind Vincent Sanchez completed and Benny Glaser in the big blind checked his option.

The flop came down {5-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} and Sanchez liked this flop enough to lead out for 300,000. Glaser quickly got out of the way but Molenaar stuck around and made the call.

The turn {4-Diamonds} saw Sanchez bet 800,000, a majority of Molenaar's stack. Molenaar looked at his cards again before announcing his all-in to the world. Sanchez was quick to put in the 455,000 extra and Molenaar received the news that he was in dire shape.

Michel Molenaar: {q-Spades}{6-Spades}
Vincent Sanchez: {8-Spades}{7-Spades}

A cooler for Molenaar, who flopped top two. Sanchez's turned a straight, however, leaving Molenaar dead to four outs.

Molenaar grimaced as the {a-Diamonds} hit the felt, and he quickly took his leave from the feature table.
