Andreas Kaju opened up for 14,000 and Jussi Mattila to his left folded before he stood up. Daniel Chutrov to Mattila's left called and the rest of the players folded.
As the flop was being dealt, Chutrov asked the players to his left to move over a bit to give the players on his side of the table some room. There was a bit of talk that the seats were more or less evenly distributed.
Jussi Mattila, who wasn't taking offense, laughed while telling Chutrov, "I showered in the morning."
Some of the table smiled while Kaju checked. However, Chutrov kept his poker face on and fired out for 12,500 and got a fold from his opponent.
Unlike many other poker tournaments where the first in the money gets slightly more than their buy-in back, the Kings of Tallinn Main Event provides players in the money about double their buy-in back with everyone cashing earning at least €2,110.
Perhaps due to that or perhaps due to other variables, the action has somewhat slowed down after some quick eliminations earlier in the blind level.
Just as we said the action was slowing down, two players filed out of the tournament area at around the same time in Aleksei Matt and Daniel Giles McCormack.
The field is down to 36 players with 31 getting paid at least €2,110. The money bubble will likely break either this level or the next one.
Jussi Karpanen found himself low on chips and was under 10 big blinds. On the flip side, Arunas Garunkstis has won a few hands since the last break and was at around 500,000 in chips.
The duo battled it out in the blinds. Karpanen shoved from the small blind and Garunkstis called with .
Karpanen had a slight advantage in this poker flip, however, he was at a huge disadvantage after a king appeared on the flop. Another appeared on the turn followed by a third on the river to send Karpanen to the rail and Garunkstis to the chip lead.
Around the same time, Johan Stig Arne Creutz exited the tournament leaving just 34 players or three shy of the money with 31 players getting paid at least €2,110.
Yan Viatcheslav Birg shoved a little more than five big blinds with . Arunas Garunkstis, looked down at and called.
Birg's friends gathered around the table urging for a hold. The flop gave Garunkstis four tens as outs. Birg and his friends celebrated after the appeared on the turn and the appeared on the river.
Jari Pekka Hurri and Hans Benny Hagberg were both elimianted from the tournament. The tournament director is moving players from Table 10 to the other tables to bring play down to four tables.
The tournament is now hand for hand as it is now on the bubble. After one more player is eliminated all the remaining will collect at least the minimum prize of €2,110.
The second hand started to be dealt seven minutes into hand for hand. During the first hand, there was little action other than players with big stacks betting and players with smaller stacks appearing to be deep in thought.
The second hand on the money bubble featured an all-in and a call. Henri Vaisanen jammed for 138,000 with and was called by Quang Thanh Doan with .
Vaisanen appeared to be uncomfortable after a king hit the flop and got out of his seat. He returned to his chair after the appeared on the turn and the completed the board on the river.
The money bubble lasted exactly four hands before breaking. Maksim Petrov jammed for about 130,000 with and was called by Totti Matias Arusuo with .
Petrov's small lead became a huge disadvantage after an ace appeared on the flop. The on the turn and the on the river didn't help Petrov improved and he was eliminated on the bubble in 32nd place.
A round of applause took place after the hand and the remaining players are each guaranteed to bank at least €2,110.
