Jose Gonzalez opened to 5,000 in early position. Stephen Chidwick popped it to 22,000 from the small blind and sent Gonzalez into the tank. He opted to call after two minutes, bringing out a flop.
Chidwick fired 41,000 into the middle, getting Gonzalez to fold face up. Chidwick is back up to 115,000 while Gonzalez drops to 65,000.
We joined a pot in progress on the turn with the board reading . Norbert Ludges eyed up the stack of his lone opponent, Jose Agustin for a minute or two. Finally, he fired out a sloppy bet as the chips tumbled into the middle of the table. It was enough to cover Agustin, and he made the call all in for his last 28,700.
Sure enough, the binked right on the river, drawing a too-happy, "Wowaaaa!" from Ludges. He grinned widely as the chips were pushed in his direction, and Agustin quietly made his way toward the exit, offering a token, "Nice hand, caballero," on his way out.
An older gentleman under the gun came in raising to 6,000. The table folded around to the blinds where John Bladon tanked it up in the small. After some consideration, he moved all in over the top. The big blind folded, and the initial raiser made the call for his tournament life, all 18,400 of his chips now committed to this hand.

The board was just what the at-risk player was hoping for as it ran down . That spells a double up for one player and a halving of the stack for the other; both men are just about even with 40,000 right now.
Level up! The new round has the blinds at 1,000/2,000 with an ante of 200. The big board shows that 89 players remain, and the short stacks are really going to start feeling the pinch as this level progresses.
Marcelo Da Fonseca opened to 4,500 from middle position, and Daniela de Lima Zapiello three-bet him up to 12,000 straight. Da Fonseca thought it over carefully before putting in the call, and the two went heads up to the flop.
The dealer spread out , and both players checked. On the turn, Da Fonseca led out with a bet of 11,000, and Zapiello quickly flicked in the call.
The river brought the and another check from each player. Da Fonseca tabled for two pair, and Zapiello frowned and flashed her as they went into the muck.
Zapiello slips to 79,000 after taking that little hit to her stack.
Nicolas Cardyn - 110,000
Jose "papadelpoker" de la Guardia - 46,000
Daniela de Lima Zapiello - 91,000
Veronica Dabul - 90,000
Felipe Ramos - 10,000
Humberto Brenes - 42,000
Stephen "stevie444" Chidwick - 105,000
Jose Gonzalez - 150,000
The last Dutchman standing, Joost Vereecken has just ensured that he'll be hanging around for a bit longer.
When a player in front of him opened to 4,000, Vereecken shipped his 26,000 into the middle with pocket jacks. The raiser called with ace-king, and the race was on.
The board was all low cards, eventually making Vereecken an unnecessary straight on the river. His jacks stay good, doubling him up to about 55,000 and keeping the hopes of the Dutch alive here in Uruguay.
With raise to 4,200 in front of him, John Bladon moved all in for 27,800 total. The initial raiser called when the action came back around, and Bladon was officially at risk of elimination.

The board smiled on the gregarious Bladon, coming out . A very excited "Johnny Blade" has notched himself a double up, and he's almost back to an average stack with 58,000.
