Bubble Time

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

The action has been slow as of late with players so close to the money. Now, after a recent elimination, we're on the exact money bubble. One more player will leave grossly disappointed while 104 will lock up a payday.

Nishijima vs. Montano

Thiago "xTheDecanox" Nishijima opened for 6,600 under the gun and was met with a three-bet to 15,500 by Luis Montano from the cutoff. After the button and blinds got out of the way, Nishijima tossed his cards to the muck, prompting Motano to show {A-Hearts}{J-Spades}.

It wasn't much of a hand, but it gave us an excuse to update you on their chip stacks.

Player of the Year Gonzalez Eliminated Shy of the Money

Pablo Gonzalez
Pablo Gonzalez

After being moved to a new table and just before the level up, the Latin American Poker Tour Season 4 Player of the Year, Pablo Gonzalez, moved all in for 25,400 from the cutoff after the player in the hijack had raised to 4,800. The button got out of the way, while the small blind made the call. After the hijack folded, the Gonzalez tabled {5-Clubs}{5-Hearts} but was behind the {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs} of the small blind.

Gonzalez was in a bad spot, though the {5-Diamonds} appeared in the window; unfortunately for him, it was followed by the {Q-Diamonds} and {A-Hearts}. It was a set-over-set flop, meaning Gonzalez needed the last five in the deck to stay alive. The {7-Spades} turn was not it, and neither was the {2-Hearts}. Gonzalez was eliminated from the Main Event without a cash.

Barrientos Jams

Waldermar Barrientos opened to 5,300 under the gun and found three callers before action was on Ryan O'Donnell in the small blind. After a few moments, O'Donnell three-bet to 18,000.

After the big blind folded, Barrientos took about 30 seconds before re-raising all in for about 125,000. The callers could not fold fast enough, putting the action back on O'Donnell. He ducked out of the way as well, giving the pot to Barrientos .
