Day 3 Completed
The Latin American Poker Tour Chile continued on Saturday at the Enjoy Casino & Resort in Vina del Mar as the final 32 competitors from the 651-player field played down to the final table. All eyes were on Daniela Horno, who finished in sixth place in this very event last year, as she began as chip leader and was primed for back-to-back final tables.
Action was fast and furious at the start of the day as ten players hit the rail in the first hour. They included Hector Marambio (32nd-$2,840), Rodrigo Perez (31st-$2,840), Marcelo Bustamante (30th-$2,840), Marciano Sa (29th-$2,840), Jorge Barreto (28th-$3,070), Sebastian Rios (27th-$3,070), Eduardo Zalaquett (26th- $3,070), Juan Bravo (25th-$3,070), Ricardo Gajdemski (24th-$3,320), Rene Manzano (23rd-$3,320) and Jorge Guerra (22nd-$3,590).
The flurry of eliminations didn’t stop there as Santiago Hernandez (21st-$3,590), Alejandro Vargas (20th-$3,860), Jorge Mascaro (19th-$3,860) and Luis Montano (18th-$4,180) were all eliminated over the course of the next level.
After a break, action folded around to Horno on the button and she opted to ship her 20-big-blind stack with . It was enough to get the small blind to fold, but not Nicholas Batt in the big as he looked down at and made the call.
The railbirds were on their feet at the flop came down . Horno got a little help, but needed more. The turn was not it, and neither was the river. Horno, who began the day as chip leader, was eliminated in 17th place for $4,180. She was clearly disappointed, but another deep run on the heels of last year's sixth-place finish proved her poker chops.
Rodrigo Quezada (16th-$4,510), Yacin Vasquez (15th-$4,900), Edgardo Bastias (14th-$5,360), William Espinosa (13th-$5,900), Waldermar Barrientos (12th-$6,780), Alvaro Gonzalez (11th-$7,760) and Jose Luis Golin (10th-9,130) were the next to go, bringing about the unofficial final table of nine. At that point, Frankel lost a crucial flip and was dispatched in ninth place for $10,690, thus establishing the LAPT Chile final table.

Action folded to Leonardo Olivares in the cutoff and he raised to 120,000. After the button and small blind folded, Pedro Frankel moved all in from the big for 425,000 total, which Olivares called. Frankel turned over and was off to the races against the of Olivares.
The players and railbirds were on their feet as the flop came out . Olivares had paired his king to take the lead and left Frankel in need of some major help. The turn certainly wasn't it, and neither was the turn. Frankel was dispatched in ninth place for $10,690 and the LAPT Chile final table was set.

Pedro Frankel raised to 65,000 from the cutoff and received calls from Javier Venegas and Halysson Sala in the small and big blinds respectively. All three players checked the flop, leading to the turn. Venegas was first to act and led out for 70,000, only Frankel called, and the was put out on the river.
This time Venegas came out firing 150,000, which was enough to get Frankel to fold.

Things at the final table have been quiet since that first hand. With a few short stacks, we're guessing they'll be a big hand sooner than later.
Action folded all the way around to Halysson Sala in the small blind and he put in a raise to 80,000, which Sergio Escobar called from the big blind. When the flop came down , Sala check-called a bet of 75,000, bringing about the turn.
Again Sala check-called a bet, this time 100,000, and the dealer put out the on the river. At this point Sala led out for 149,000, Escobar raised to 300,000, and Sala made the call. Escobar rolled over for a flopped set, and Sala simply mucked.

Golin flipped over , but was dominated by the of Diaz. The flop gave Golin a gut-shot straight draw, though the would be no good as it would give his opponent a flush.
The turn soon dissipated any hope Golin had as it completed Diaz's flush and left him drawing dead. The meaningless was put out on the river as Golin made his way to the payout desk in 10th place.
