Welcome to Day 4 of the 2012 PokerStars.net LAPT Punta del Este. The starting field of 375 players is down just to nine following 21 levels of play and a champion will emerge before day's end.
Leading the way is Francisco Baruffi Neto with 1,346,000. Team PokerStars Pro Angel Guillen is still in the hunt, too, looking to improve upon his third-place finish here back in Season 2, but he'll have a tall mountain to climb as the short stack with 421,000.

After a few raises and three-bets winning the first few pots, we have finally reached a flop.
Marcelo Ramos Da Fonseca opened to 40,000 from the hijack and was called by Joaquin Melogno on the button. The two saw a flop and Ramos Da Fonseca bet 46,000. Melogno gave it some thought, but kicked in his hand after about 45 seconds.

Carlos Leoncio Mironiuk opened to 50,000 and Pablo Joaquin Melogno slowly counted out a three-bet to 110,000. Action folded around to Mironiuk who quickly called.
The flop came and Mironiuk bet out 100,000. Melogno shuffled chips for about a minute and a half before moving 210,000 into the middle. Mironiuk flung his hand away and Melogno grabbed the pot.

Francisco Baruffi Neto opened to 52,000 from the hijack and action folded to Marcelo Ramos Da Fonseca in the big blind. He three-bet to 122,000, but soon found himself faced with a decision as Baruffi Neto four-bet to 260,000. After a few moments, Ramos Da Fonseca opted to five-bet shove for 605,000.
Baruffi Neto did not appear thrilled to see that and folded after about 30 seconds.

The table folded around to Vladimir Dobrovolskiy on the button who moved all in for 393,000. Marcelo Ramos Da Fonseca quickly counted out enough chips to call and then began shuffling them for over a minute. Dobrovolskiy sat with his head hung, eyes closed, awaiting the decision of Fonseca. Eventually Fonseca threw away his cards and Carlos Leoncio Mironiuk tossed away his from the big blind.

Guido Ruffini opened to 55,000 in early position and was called by Marcelo Ramos Da Fonseca Marcelo Ramos Da Fonseca in middle position and Joaquin Melogno in the cutoff. Ivan Luca, though, three-bet to 219,000 from the small blind. Ruffini folded quickly, while Ramos Da Fonseca took a about two minutes before doing so. Melogno folded as well and Luca took it down.
