Yildiz Short

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

On a {J-Spades}{3-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop we saw the big blind check. Maksym Panyak bet out 50,000 and Sevket Yildiz made the call on the button. The big blind folded and the dealer put the turn out there: {4-Hearts}.

Panyak now bet 132,000 and after some thinking, Yildiz made the call with just 100,000 behind.

The river was the {8-Diamonds} and Panyak bet out 250,000 to move Yildiz all in. Yildiz folded, and Panyak showed the {J-Clubs}.

Yildiz Triples

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Right the next hand, he got his remaining 100,000 (exact) in against two players. Both Igor Ovcharenko and Kiryl Radzivonau made the call.

The side pot stayed empty as both players checked out the board: {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{10-Spades}. Both callers showed king-jack, but Yildiz took it down with his {A-Spades}{J-Hearts}.

Biz Doubles Through Milovic

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

It all ended up in the middle before the flop. Mustafa Biz had {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} and 191,000 to start the hand, Srda Milovic had 141,000 more than that and {J-Spades}{J-Diamonds}.

Luckily for Biz, the flop showcased a queen: {Q-Spades}{K-Clubs}{6-Spades}. Neither the {K-Hearts} on the turn, or the {5-Hearts} on the river, could hurt him.

Ovcharenko Doubles In Monster Pot

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Back tot the iPad for Panyak
Back tot the iPad for Panyak

As we arrived, the dealer was counting out Ovcharenko's stack, and it was 550,000 exactly. Panyak counted out the same, and with a sad face he looked back at his iPad.

"It all went to the middle before the flop" told two friendly rail birds us. The cards were still at the table, so we saw what the showdown had been. Panyak had {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}, while Ovcharenko had {A-Spades}{K-Hearts} in front of him.

The {4-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{8-Spades} board favored Ovcharenko, and he took down the 1.1 million pot. Panyak is no longer the chipleader, though he still has an above average stack.

Panyak Gets Some Back

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Panyak opened the button to 26,000, and Ovcharenko made the call from the big blind.

Ovcharenko continued to check call 38,000 on the {4-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{7-Spades} flop, 58,000 on the {6-Clubs} turn, and 76,000 on the {10-Diamonds} river.

Ovcharenko mucked after Panyak tabled the unlikely {3-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} for a turned straight.

Igor Ovcharenko is Running Hot
Igor Ovcharenko is Running Hot

Maksym Panyak opened for 25,000 from early position, and Igor Ovcharenko three bet to 60,000 in middle position. Srda Milovic in the big blind shoved all in for 297,000 and Panyak quickly folded. Ovcharenko asked for a count, and eventually made the call.

Milovic knew he was in trouble with his {A-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}, you could see the look his face change as soon as he heard the word 'call'. Ovcharenko tabled {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds} and flopped perfect: {K-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}.

By the time the {Q-Hearts} hit the turn, Milovic was already out of his chair and on his way out of the tournament room. The {3-Hearts} didn't change a thing, and Ovcharenko started stacking his chips again.
