After level 15 (around 7:40 p.m.) there will be a 50 minute dinner break today. After that dinner break, two more levels will be played. That means the day will be finished around 10:30 p.m. The $3,000 High Roller, which started yesterday after the Main Event ended, is delayed a bit and will start right after the Main Event ends today.
Salim Al Fakih shoved all in from under the gun for 18,600 total. After some hefty thinking, Alexander Syuldin on the button made the call. Both blinds folded and it was time to put the cards on their backs.
Salim Al Fakih:
Alexander Syuldin:
Things didn't improve for Al Fakih on the flop (), but the on the turn changed everything around. All of the sudden it was Syuldin who was in dire need of an eight. The didn't supply one, and Al Fakih doubled.
The clock reads 20 more minutes before the third level of the day is done for, and registration is closed. Sergey Rybachenko has just been eliminated and re entered for what is most likely his last shot at the title. If you buy in now, you get 30,000 chips (almost 19 big blinds).
The total of entries has grown to 325, of which 105 remain. The total prize pool is $425,588 at the moment.
"We had a three way all in," said Sevket Yildiz with a big smile, "why don't you write about that?"
Well, we weren't there to see it, but now we know. Yildiz made the nuts with suited, but unfortunately for him someone else had as well. They did divide the third involved players' money though,so they got a little out of it.
"The adrenaline, king on the river!" Yildiz smiled. We'll keep an eye on him at table eight from now on, he's doing well with over 135,000 in chips at the moment.
As we approached table 13 we saw Pavel Logozinskii check call an 8,100 bet from Maksym Panyak on board.
The river came the and Logozinskii checked again. Panyak bet out small, 10,200 this time. This was too good a bargain for Logozinskii who tossed in the chips.
This is the last level players are able to (re) enter. So 60 more minutes of second/third/fourth/... chances, and then the tournament registration is closed and the prize pool known.
The tournament is on its first break of the day. The players will return in 15 minutes. Meanwhile, we spoke to Oleksii Khoroshenin, who's the proud owner of 338,000 in chips. Khoroshenin told us he didn't win one big one, but instead won loads of smaller and medium pots.
As we arrived we just saw Grigorii Rodin bet out 11,700 on from the small blind. Hakan Kuscu in the big blind made the call, and Demircioglu Hakan shoved all in from the under the gun position.
Rodin thought about it for a little bit, and eventually called all in for 41,700 total. Kuscu folded immediately, and it was time for the showdown.
Grigorii Rodin:
Demircioglu Hakan:
Despite turning broadway, and having the second nut flush draw, Hakan was drawing dead. The on the river didn't change a thing and Rodin now, after entering multiple times, has a great stack to do some damage. He's still in contention for his third Live Events International tournament win this week.
