Stefan Drusca opened to 11,000 in the hijack and was called by Dmitry Gromov on the button before Ercan Hasan defended his big blind.

The flop came {5-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and Hasan took 20 seconds before leading out for 20,000. Drusca took his time before taking the call and Gromov got out of the way.

The turn brought the {k-Hearts} and Hasan fired a second barrel for 25,000. Drusca would need to use a time-bank card before making the call.

The river brought the {2-Diamonds} and both players tapped the table. Hasan flipped over {q-Diamonds}{5-Spades} for a pair of fives and Drusca produced {q-Hearts}{q-Spades} for the win.

However, about two minutes later, Drusca could be seen walking out of the tournament area after being felted by Hasan.

Maugini Eliminates Song

Level 16 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

In Ho Song was on the button against Vittorio Maugini in the big blind.

The money all went into the middle on the {8-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} flop with Song the player at risk.

In Ho Song: {q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Vittorio Maugini: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

Song had flopped top pair but was in rough shape against Maugini's pocket kings. The turn didn't help as it came the {10-Spades}. The river sent song to the payout desk as it came {9-Clubs} to eliminate him from the tournament early in the day.

Koleznev Sends Valderan Home, Cracks Pocket Kings with Flopped Full House

Level 16 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Dmitry Koleznev
Dmitry Koleznev

Soner Valderan opened to 15,000 from under the gun and Dmitry Koleznev called from the hijack.

The flop came {9-Clubs}{4-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and Valderan continued for 18,000. Koleznev needed nearly his whole allotted 30 seconds before making the call.

On the {j-Diamonds} turn, Valderan shoved for just under pot and Koleznev snapped him off.

Soner Valderan: {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Dmitry Koleznev: {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}

Valderan was in a world of hurt as his pocket kings were drawing to just two outs as they were cracked by a flopped full house.

The river was the {j-Hearts} and Valderan was sent home.

James O'Brien, who was in the big blind, admittedly dodged a major bullet. "I had king-four, glad I didn't defend that one!"
