Reichenstein Reluctantly Calls

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Halil Baybars raised to 8,000 from early position before Uri Reichenstein three-bet to 25,000. In the small blind, Erdal Gulseven shoved all in for his last 106,000.

Baybars quickly folded, but Reichenstein went into the tank for about a minute. He eventually gave a shrug and put in the chips to call.

Erdel Gulseven: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Uri Reichenstein: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

Reichenstein came out on the wrong side of the race situation when the board ran out {2-Spades}{4-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{6-Spades} as Gulseven's jacks stayed in front and kept him in the tournament.

Jamie Nixon
Jamie Nixon

Jamie Nixon and an opponent in the hijack saw a flop of {k-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} with around 40,000 already in the pot. Nixon, in the small blind, bet 16,000 and his opponent called.

The turn came the {j-Clubs} and Nixon slowed down and checked this time. The hijack put out a bet of 21,000 and Nixon called to see the {4-Hearts} fall on the river.

Both players checked and Nixon turned over {a-Hearts}{k-Spades} for top pair to take the pot.

Ermanno Di Nicola

Four players saw a flop of {9-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{3-Clubs} when Alexander Lakhov put in 65,000 from the button. Ermanno Di Nicola called from the blinds, as did Samir Mrad under the gun.

The turn came the {8-Hearts} and Di Nicola led out for 115,000. Mrad shap-shoved his last 68,000 and Lakhov called to create a side spot.

Di Nicola bet again on the {6-Clubs} river, this time for 100,000. Lakhov gave up his hand as Di Nicola showed {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for a rivered flush to take the side pot. Mrad, though, turned over {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs} for a higher flush to earn a triple up.
