Lech Gets There on the River

Level 11 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Michael Lech
Michael Lech

With around 30,000 in the pot on a flop of {2-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{4-Hearts}, Michel Atallah bet 23,000 from the big blind and Michael Lech called in middle position.

Both players checked the {4-Clubs} turn as the {5-Clubs} fell on the river. Atallah this time threw out 35,000 and Lech snap-called.

Atallah flashed {a-}{q-} for top pair, but Lech had {a-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for the rivered straight as Atallah angrily slammed his cards on the table and began muttering to himself.

Kliper Raises Big Against Korkmaz

Level 11 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Koray Korkmaz was in the cutoff on a flop of {2-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{q-Clubs} and bet 13,000. Arie Kliper, in early position, called as they saw the {7-Hearts} fall on the turn.

Kliper checked over to Korkmaz, who bet another 52,000. Kliper asked to take a look at Korkmaz's remaining stack before he raised to 126,000.

Korkmaz agonized over the decision for several minutes, counting out his chips and taking a peek back at his cards, before he eventually tossed them into the muck.

Sadat Spikes the River to Crack Trips

Level 11 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

With around 50,000 in the pot on a flop of {10-Spades}{q-Spades}{10-Spades}, Reza Sadat moved all in from the hijack for 60,000. An opponent on the button reshoved for 75,000, sending Seref Dursun Anar into the tank for about a minute before he folded.

Sadat showed {9-Spades}{7-Spades} for a flush draw and was up against {a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} for trip tens. The {6-Clubs} on the turn was no help, but Sadat received the {8-Spades} on the river to complete his flush and stay alive in the tournament.

Mustafov Sends Istomin Into the Tank

Level 10 : Blinds 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

There was already around 80,000 in the middle on a flop of {9-Hearts}{4-Spades}{3-Clubs} when Aleksei Istomin bet 25,500 in middle position. Fahredin Mustafov, on the button, then shoved all in for 137,500.

Istomin went into the tank for several minutes before a tablemate called the clock. Just before the tournament official reached zero, Istomin tossed in the chips to call.

Mustafov turned over {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}, while Istomin was on a draw with {a-Hearts}{2-Hearts}. The board ran out {3-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} and Mustafov's tens stayed in front to earn him a massive double.

"Are you streaming this," Mustafov asked, seeing the camera attached to Istomin's phone.

"Yeah, that's why," Istomin responded.
