Michael Sedore Eliminated in 22nd Place ($19,000)

Michael Sedore - 22nd Place
Michael Sedore - 22nd Place
Michael Sedore moved all in for 260,000 even from middle position before action folded to Michael Woods on the button. He asked for a count and then a few moments later made the call. The two blinds folded and the cards were tabled.

Woods held the {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} and was dominating the {Q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} of Sedore.

The flop gave Sedore a pair with the {10-Spades}{9-Hearts}{2-Hearts}. But the turn was the {6-Spades} and then the river completed the board with the {4-Clubs}.

Sedore finished as the third player out today in 22nd place and took home $19,000.

Seiver Misses Everything

Derek Raymond has an extra 300,000 chips after duckin gScott Seiver's massive draw. Raymond opened for 38,000 pre-flop, with Seiver calling out of the big blind. Both players checked a {6-Hearts} {4-Hearts} {9-Clubs} flop. Seiver checked again when the turn came {10-Diamonds}. Raymond bet 57,000. Seiver then counted out 280,000 chips and slid them across the betting line. Raymond pondered his action for abouta minute before calling.

"1.4 behind?" Seiver asked.

"About that," Raymond replied.

The river came {3-Clubs}. Both players quickly checked.

"Queen-high straight flush draw," said Seiver. He didn't show, but that would give him {Q-Hearts} {J-Hearts} in the hole. Raymond tabled {A-Clubs} {10-Clubs} for top pair and took down the pot.

Maruf Doesn't Make the Call

Vanessa Rousso is the only Team PokerStars Pro left in the field today and she just added a decent pot to move back up to 720,000 chips.

She open-limped from the hijack seat and Taha Maruf checked his option in the big blind. The flop came down {A-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and Maruf checked. Rousso fired 20,000 and her opponent made the call.

The turn card was the {4-Spades} and Maruf checked again. Rousso fired 50,000 and Maruf made another call.

After the {5-Diamonds} fell on the river, Maruf checked once more. Rousso tanked for a while and then asked for a count on Maruf's stack, which was at 330,000 chips. She then tanked a little bit more before sliding out a bet of 140,000. Maruf let his hand go and Rousso was pushed the pot.

As she was stacking her new chips, Rousso asked, "Would you have called 70?" Maruf shook his head. "40?" He shook his head again. "Anything?!?!?"

She then went on, "I got lucky on the river, deuces."

Ferguson Wins Big One From Jamison

Dale Jamison raised to 35,000 in the hijack and Andrew Ferguson made the call from the big blind.

The flop came down {3-Clubs}{9-Spades}{A-Clubs} and Ferguson check-called 56,000 from Jamison. When the {J-Hearts} hit the turn, Ferguson bet 77,000. Jamison made the call and the {K-Diamonds} fell on the river. Ferguson checked and Jamison came out firing 267,000.

Ferguson wasted little time making the call and tabled {A-Spades}{J-Diamonds}. Jamison mucked and dropped to about 880,000. Ferguson jumps to more than 1,000,000.

Sedore Gains Some Space

For the second hand in a row, Michael Sedore, who started the day with 57,000 chips, moved all in from early position. The first hand, nobody called. The second hand Alan Sternberg called with {J-Diamonds} {J-Clubs}. He had a slight edge against Sedore's {A-Clubs} {K-Clubs}, but an ace flopped. That pair held to give Sedore a double-up.

"I'm not a mosquito no more," said Sedore as he stacked up about 300,000 chips.

"Maybe a West Nile mosquito," replied Alistar Melville.

Mark Ader Eliminated in 23rd Place ($19,000)

Mark Ader - 23rd Place
Mark Ader - 23rd Place
Action folded over to Derek Raymond in the hijack seat and he raised it up to 38,000. The cutoff seat folded and then on the button was Mark Ader, nursing a stack of 236,000 chips at the time. He moved them all into the middle and after a minute in the tank, Raymond made the call.

Ader held the {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} against Raymond's {3-Spades}{3-Clubs}. The flop added a flush draw for the at-risk Ader when it landed {9-Spades}{8-Clubs}{6-Clubs}. The turn was the {K-Spades} and then the river was the {4-Diamonds}.

"What!" yelled Scott Seiver.

"Sick fade," commented Jonathan Aguiar.

Raymond collected the chips and Ader was sent home in 23rd place.

Ferguson Bluff Catches

"I don't like to fold," Vanessa Selbst was telling James Casement Sr. as the hand began. Andrew Ferguson raised to 38,000 preflop, and Selbst defended her big blind. The flop came {Q-Spades} {10-Hearts} {8-Hearts}, and both players checked. The turn brought the {7-Clubs}, and Selbst bet out 44,000. Ferguson slowly called. The river was the {9-Diamonds}, and this time Selbst bet 86,000. It took Ferguson a minute, but he made the call. "You're good," Vanessa said, mucking instantly. Ferguson showed {A-Diamonds} {10-Spades}.

Sternberg Again

Alex Sternberg is at it again. The very next hand he played after tagging Michael Woods for 150,000, Sternberg got the best of Zachary Fritz. We missed the pre-flop and flop action but roughly 450,000 chips were in the middle by the turn, {3-Hearts} {Q-Spades} {4-Clubs} {K-Clubs}. Sternberg, in the small blind, bet 350,000 into Fritz. Fritz had 600,000 behind but chose not to put those chips in the middle. He folded, allowing a second pot to be pushed to Sternberg.
