Billirakis Bests a Pair Again

Vanessa Rousso check-called a bet of 40,000 on the flop of {J-Spades}{7-Clubs}{2-Clubs} from Steve Billirakis. The turn brought the {Q-Spades} and Rousso checked again. Billirakis fired 100,000 and Rousso called again.

The river was the {K-Diamonds} and Rousso checked. Billirakis checked behind. Rousso showed pocket tens and Billirakis held the {Q-Hearts}{9-Spades}.

Rousso dropped to 739,000 and Billirakis improved to 1.46 million

It's Getting Smokey in Here

Steve Billirakis raised and then David Paredes reraised to 74,000. Billirakis made it 220,000 and then Paredes moved all in, having Billirakis covered. Billirakis didn't seem to like the spot, but said that he had to call.

Billirakis held {Q-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and Paredes held {J-Diamonds}{J-Spades}.

The board ran out {K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{5-Clubs}{K-Clubs} and Billirakis doubled up to over 1.1 million while Paredes dropped to 110,000.

De Gilio Doubles through Sindelar

Daniel Sindelar decided it was time to gamble. He opened from late position to 40,000, then was faced with an all-in re-raise of 280,000 from Michael De Gilio. Sindelar went for broke, calling the all in with {4-Diamonds} {4-Hearts}. De Gilio showed {Q-Spades} {10-Spades} and the race was on.

Board: {8-Clubs} {Q-Hearts} {K-Spades} {6-Clubs} {A-Spades}

A queen on the flop was enough for De Gilio to take down the pot. He stays alive by doubling up to 580,000, while Sindelar is now quite short with 125,000.

Rousso's Turn to Steam

Vanessa Rousso's stack is trending dangerously downwards. She called the all in of Tom Sinistaj for 198,000 with pocket queens, {Q-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds}. Sinistaj turned up {A-Spades} {9-Spades} and flopped two pair to the delight of his railbirds, {A-Clubs} {4-Clubs} {9-Clubs}. But Sinistaj told them to calm down; Rousso still could hit a queen or any club to take the lead in the hand.

That didn't happen. The board bricked off {2-Spades} and {K-Hearts}, with Rousso popping out of her chair in disgust and seeking calming words from her own railbirds. After she paid off Sinistaj she was down to 440,000 chips.

Raghavan Busto

A short-stacked Ravi Raghavan was just eliminated by Steve Billirakis, taking the tournament down to its final four tables.

The players are re-drawing for seats. The plan is to eliminate eight more players before bagging the chips. We'll have the re-draw in just a few moments.

Interview with Lichtenberger

One of the chip leaders is Andrew "LuckyChewy" Lichtenberger and he has been sitting behind a massive stack of chips ever since accumulating them from the huge pot he played between Lars Bonding yesterday. Kristy Arnett caught up with Lichtenberger on a recent break and here's what he had to say.

Franciosi Cracks Cutler's Aces

John Franciosi raised to 40,000 and then Joe Cutler made it 82,000. Franciosi went all in for 299,000 and Cutler quickly called.

Franciosi held the {5-Spades}{5-Hearts} and Cutler had him crushed with the {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}. The board ran out {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and Franciosi made a flush to crack Cutler's aces. Cutler was left with 300,000 after the beat.
