Day 2 Here in Los Angeles
Welcome back for Day 2 of the PokerStars.net NAPT Los Angeles. Today is the day the remaining players from both starting days intertwine on the felt as one complete field. In all, there are 314 players returning to action today, which kicks off at 1:00 PM PST.
Normally, we'd have a seat draw already posted with complete seating assignments and chip counts. The Bicycle Casino has yet to release that information to us. They hold onto the seat draw in order to help prevent from players colluding and once we receive the table draw, we'll have it up and in the blog for you to view.
We will tell you this, there's plenty of big names still in the field. We've got 2009 WSOP Main Event champion and Team PokerStars pro Joe Cada, along with fellow team pros Jason Mercier, Andre Akkari, Daniel Negreanu and Marcello Del Grosso.
Leading the way for Day 2 is Kim Frederiksen with 237,000 in chips. Nick Grippo is right behind him with 235,100 and Tom Middleton has 229,100.
Play kicks off shortly here at The Bicycle Casino and we'll have all the action for you right here on PokerNews. The plan is to play seven levels today. Although that seems to make for a shorter day than the starting days, the levels will be 75 minutes long today. Stay tuned for the action shortly!
