One For Lee

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante
Bernard Lee
Bernard Lee

Bernard Lee opened the action with a raise from middle position. The player on the button called and they saw a {9-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop.

Lee bet 425, but was unable to shake his opponent. The {3-Diamonds} turn was checked by both, leading to the {2-Diamonds} river. A bet of 950 came from Lee and after a few moments, his opponent called. Lee tabled {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} for a full house, winning the pot and upping his stack to about 27,000.

Bardah Fills Up the Tank

After Todd Terry opened with a raise to 375 from early-middle position, Ronnie Bardah called from two seats over to start a waterfall of calls. After he called, the hijack, cutoff seat and small blind all came along to the flop. If it wasn't for two vacant seats on the button and big blind, there might have been seven players to the flop.

The flop came down {7-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts} and action checked over to Bardah. He fired "eight and a quarter" verbally for a bet of 825. The hijack and cutoff seats folded, but the small blind made the call. Terry also folded and play was down to just two players going into fourth street.

The turn brought the {4-Spades} and the small blind checked. Bardah contemplated for a brief moment and then checked behind. The river paired the board with the {3-Clubs} and the small blind fired out 2,050. Bardah paused before coming back with a raise to 7,400. HIs opponent stared at the board for about 20 seconds and then tossed in the call.

Bardah tabled the {2-Diamonds}{2-Spades} for a full house, deuces over threes. His opponent showed the {A-Spades}{6-Spades} for a turned nut flush, but lost the pot.

Cada and Bergeron Exchange Blows

There was a raise to 375 and a call before Craig Bergeron called from the small blind. Joe Cada reraised to 2,000 from the big blind and action folded back to Bergeron. He thought long and hard before reraising to 5,225. Cada tanked after that for a couple of minutes. Finally, he moved all for about 30,000. Bergeron folded the {A-Spades}{Q-Spades} face up and said that he was turning his hand into a bluff. Cada showed two black jacks and won the hand.

E-Fro Calls Down Nazari

On a {K-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{2-Hearts} board, we arrived at the table in time to see Eric Froehlich check-call a bet of 3,300 from Poorya Nazari. The river fell the {J-Diamonds} and Froehlich checked it to Nazari again. The 2009 PCA Champ bet 7,800, but it wasn't enough to shake Froehlich who called.

Nazari slid his hand to the dealer, surrendering the pot. There was no need for Froehlich to show his hand as he collected the chips.
