Chop it Up

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Eric Froehlich opened the button to 22,000, and Taylor von Kriegenbergh defended his big blind to see a flop.

It came {5-Diamonds} {9-Spades} {2-Spades}, and both men checked to the {10-Diamonds} turn. Von Kriegenbergh led out with 25,000 chips now, and Froehlich bumped it up to 100,000. Von Kriegenbergh's response was an all-in shove, and Froehlich made the call with the covering stack.

Showdown
Froehlich: {Q-Diamonds} {10-Spades}
Von Kriegenbergh: {Q-Hearts} {10-Clubs}

Chop it up, boys. The river {6-Spades} was meaningless, and everyone gets their money back.

Play Ball!

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

We had to push the starting time back a few minutes because Aaron Overton came to the party without his ID. He's retrieved it from his room, the dealer says he's him, and the cards have gone flying here on Day 4.

There are 48 minutes left in Level 19.

Day 4 Awaits

Vanessa Selbst
Vanessa Selbst

Welcome back to PokerNews' live coverage of the 2011 North American Poker Tour Mohegan Sun Main Event. Only 24 players remain from the starting field of 387, all looking to make it through to the final table. On top of the counts is, who else, last year's winner here Vanessa Selbst. She commands a stack of 1,406,000, nearly 40 big blinds more than her nearest competitor.

While Selbst is currently the favorite with the big stack, there are plenty of familiar names looking to get in the way of her back-to-back plans. Jacobo Fernandez, Adam Geyer, Steve O'Dwyer, Joe Tehan, Eric Froehlich, and Tyler Kenney (younger brother of Bryn) are all in the top ten chip counts and will no doubt be looking to position themselves for a championship run.

Here are the table and seat assignments for Day 4.
