He's McSweeney, Son, and He Hasn't Had Any Dinner

A tense moment for Jimmy McSweeney just now, after he moved all in for 21,500 on a flop of {8-Clubs} {10-Hearts} {K-Diamonds} , against a very chipped-up Gregory Hunt. His opponent would still have had chips left if he called and lost, but nowhere near as comfortable a stack.

Hunt had the pot spread (it was around 10k), sighed, and said, "My flight's not booked til f***ing Tuesday!" before passing. McSweeney flashed his cards and it looked like bottom two pair had won the pot with the flop push.

Going Down

Two players who seem to have rather dropped down in the chip counts are Gary "Mclovin" Clarke (30,000 to 15,500 in a level) and Nik Persaud (17,000 to just 5,050 in perhaps two levels, and now pulling a sour face).

Feel the Love

The prize for today's Most Amiable Exit goes to (American, judging by the accent) Chris Peddigrew, who with heartwarming earnestness said, "Best of luck to all of you," before saying how much of a pleasure it was playing with his table and then he stood up. It looked from the cards strewn on the board that he'd also been busted by {7-?} {4-?}, but this didn't seem to faze him at all. Then, he and his left hand side neighbour spontaneously hugged and he vanished into the rail.

One Foot in the Cosgrave

James Cosgrave has doubled up most fortunately. He got it in with {K-Clubs} {K-Spades} and was most dismayed when Eddie Gilsenan called and turned over {A-Clubs} {A-Spades}. However, the board came down {5-Spades} {2-Clubs} {10-Clubs} {K-Spades} {6-Diamonds} to keep him in the game with 15,000.

Tregaro Under Pressure

Dave 'LeKnave' Jones just took down a nice pot from Thoierry Tregaro. Jones check-raised the {9-Hearts} {3-Diamonds} {2-Hearts} flop (by 3,700). Tregaro called this bet, but laid his hand down when Jones instantly moved in on the {Q-Diamonds} turn for about 17k, narrowly covering his opponent.
