Fresh Blood!

More new players getting rady to start, including Phil Laak, Ilari Sahamies, Alec Torreli, John Tabatabai and Neil Channing.

Strike One For The Onliners

After making a big overbet of 3,000 to force Ivan Demidov off the pot on a {8-Clubs} {J-Hearts} {A-Hearts} {Q-?} board, Massimo Mele has knocked out the Russian soon after in a quick all-in preflop job.

Mele: {Q-Hearts} {Q-Clubs}
Demidov: {9-Hearts} {9-Clubs}

The board came {J-Hearts} {3-Hearts} {8-Clubs} {4-Clubs} {10-Clubs} and the qualifier goes through.

Esfandiari Eliminates Johansson

Having knocked his opponent to a short stack, Antonio Esfandiari has knocked out Andreas Johansson, calling the all-in with {K-?} {7-?} and spiking against Johansson's {J-?} {J-?} on a {K-?} {Q-?} {2-?} {9-?} {Q-?} board.

The internet qualifiers aren't fairing too well so far.

Duthie Denined By Durrrr

John Duthie has lost a decent proportion of his stack, check-calling 650 on the turn of a {7-Hearts} {2-Hearts} {6-Clubs} {4-Clubs} board before check-calling 1,700 on the {4-Diamonds} river. Tom Dwan showed {A-?} {7-?} and it looked as though Duthie flashed {Q-?} {7-?} that the rail caught a glimpse of.

Dwan and Duthie then went on a quick break, Durrrr knocking over all of Antonio Estfandiari chips on his way with an evil little laugh.

People You Don't Know Are Having Fun

Alex Keating and Vladmir Geshkenbein might be two names you won't know in this tournament, but they appear to be having the most fun. They're playing a little game during which if you win a hand, then your opponent gets to pick and see one of your hole cards.

Keating just won a pot with a bet {A-?} {9-?} {5-?} {4-?} board and Vladmir picked out one of the cards, the {4-Clubs} which they both giggled about.

Coren Beats Eastgate

Vicky Coren has turned the tide after doubling through Peter Eastgate. She bet 2,200 on a {J-Clubs} {J-Spades} {10-Diamonds} {5-Spades} board to push him off the pot before they got it all-in with her {A-Clubs} {J-Hearts} beating his {8-Diamonds} {8-Hearts} after a {2-Spades} {J-Clubs} {4-Clubs} {5-Hearts} {2-Diamonds} board. Poor old Peter Eastgate, the £530,000 he won last night in the EPT will have to comfort him.

Dinner Time

Players are now on a 90 minute lunch break.

State of the games:

Eastgate 11,000 – 9,000 Coren
Antonio Estfandiari 13,000 – 7,000 Andreas Johansson
John Duthie 8,500 – 11,500 Tom Dwan
Alex Keating vs Vladmir Geshkenbein (About To Begin)

Coren Right Back In It

But just like that, Coren has doubled back up into it, all-in with {9-Hearts} {9-Diamonds} against Eastgate's {3-Hearts} {3-Clubs} and winning out on a {K-Hearts} {J-Hearts} {6-Hearts} {5-Hearts} {3-Diamonds} board. Eastgate hitting his 2-outer on the river, but it was a card too late.

Eastgate Takes Early Advantage

Peter Eastgate holds the advantage after check-calling 1,500 on the {10-Spades} {10-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs} board before he also checked the river. Coren looked like she was going to bet but turned over the {3-Clubs} as Eastgate showed {Q-Spades} {8-Spades} for the boat.
