Choppy McChop

Vladmir Geshkenbein raised preflop and David Steicke called.

Both players checked the {A-Spades} {A-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds} flop before Steicke check-called a bet of 2,100 on the {Q-Clubs} turn.

The river was the {A-Hearts} and Steicke check-called again, this time to the tune of 4,400.

Geshkenbein showed {J-Clubs} {10-Hearts} but he was chopping against Steicke's {J-Spades} {7-Clubs}.

Devilfish Feeling Sick...Frazier Busts Ulliot

Oh dear, sometimes it's just not your day...

All the chips went flying in on a {K-Hearts} {7-Diamonds} {10-Clubs} flop, Devilfish showed {A-Hearts} {A-Spades} but Frazier was holding {K-Clubs} {10-Diamonds}.

The turn was the {Q-Spades} giving even more outs to Ulliot, but the river was the {5-Spades} and Frazier goes through.

Devilfish was complaining how sick the hand was, though as soon as the camera went on, he said, "It was just one of those things...that's poker."

Devilfish Behind

If you believe everything the Devilfish says, then Ian Frazier has been completely hit in the face by the deck.

Indeed, Ulliot just asked for the deck to be changed complaining about his lack of high quality cards.

At the moment, Frazier already has a commanding lead in this match with Devilfish more than a 3:1 dog in chips.

Steicky Situation

In the first quarter-final, Vladmir Geshkenbein raises preflop and Steicke calls.

Both players checked the {J-Spades} {2-Spades} {J-Hearts} flop before Steicke fires 1,200 on the {8-Spades} turn. Geshkenbein calls and both players check the {7-Clubs} river.

Geshkenbein shows {A-Diamonds} {9-Clubs} and Steicke dwells for a second and the Russian says, "Well, do you have me or not?"

Steicke mucks.

Old Skool

These days it's not too often that we see matches between two players best known for playing live as opposed to online, but that's exactly what we've got between Dave Ulliot and Ian Frazier.

Frazier checked as Ulliot limped in, but called a 300 bet on a {2-Clubs} {10-Hearts} {3-Diamonds} flop, both players checked the {Q-Spades} turn and {2-Diamonds} river.

"I've got a three," said Devilfish hopefully...

Ian Frazier turned over {8-Diamonds} {8-Clubs} for the pot.

Restart!

We're about to restart now.

Dave Ulliot is taking on Ian Frazier on the feature table, while on one of the outer tables, Vladmir Geshkenbein is playing David Steicke in their quarter-final.
