The flop came down and all it took was a bet of 6,600 from Esfandiari after his opponent checked for him to win the pot.
On the turn, the board read between one player and Soren Kongsgaard. The player fired 1,600 and Kongsgaard made the call.
The river brought the and both players quickly checked. Kongsgaard tabled the having chased a straight draw and hit a pair on the river. His opponent mucked his hand and Kongsgaard moved to 46,000 in chips.
After a player under the gun raised to 500, Carter Phillips reraised to 1,275 from middle position. Once again, Phillips was involved in a pot as he so often is. The player on the button flatted and the original raiser folded.
The flop came down and Phillips' continuation bet of 1,800 was good enough to take down to pot.

We haven't heard much from both Roy Winston and Jeff Hakim here in the Main Event on Day 1b. Both haven't been involved much and although that means we don't have any booming news to report on them, that also means we don't have anything tragic to report as well. Winston is sitting on an even 19,000 while Hakim is on 34,050. If anything comes up, you'll surely hear about it.
