Welcome to PokerNews' Day 2 coverage of the 2012 Sands Bethlehem DeepStack Extravaganzana Main Event. After two Day 1 sessions that played 10 levels each, our starting field of 188 entrants is down to just 70 players, each looking to capture the $135,000 first-place prize.
Leading the way into Day 2 is Micah Raskin with 346,900. He is followed by Chris Klodnicki (228,000) and Daniel Wach (200,100), the obky i. The plan today is for the final table of nine to be reached or for eight 75-minute levels to be played (whichever comes first).
The Day 2 table and seat draw is being constructed at this time, so we'll have that posted for you as soon as it is made available. Play resumes at noon local time, about an hour from now, so be sure to keep it throughout the day for live updates on all of the exciting action!

After about a ten-minute delay to make sure everyone was settled, play is underway on Day 2. Levels will be lasting 75 minutes today. The current plan is to play through Level 18 or down to a final table, whichever comes first.
David Paredes began today with the shortest stack in the room, 70th of 70 with just 7,800 to start. And on the first hand he'd push those chips all in from the middle position and get a single caller in Pradeep Deshpande from the small blind.
Paredes had and Deshpande . But the flop came badly for Paredes, the first three community cards — — giving Deshpande trip queens. Paredes immediately began to move from his seat as he watched the turn and river fall, then bid everyone adieu as the first elimination of the day.
