While Phil Hellmuth and Daniel Negreanu may be superstars at the World Series of Poker, FPN has its own set of star players. Many of them tore it up in 2019 and are in Las Vegas looking for even more FPN success. Here's a look at some players worth keeping an eye on.
- Overall National Points Leader Royle Merkel from Gastro Pub out of Fargo, North Dakota killed it in the summer quarter with four wins, accumulating 2,023 points! Merkel started playing FPN in 2009, has played over 100 tournaments, and finds the final table 70% of the time.
- Josh Dahlstrom from West Fargo, North Dakota recently took down a 700-player tournament for $20,000 cash!. You might remember Dahlstrom from the Main Event Mania championship weekend, where he took down one of the $10,000 World Series of Poker Main Event seats.
- Rick Toth from Chicago, Illinois is someone to keep your eye on. Toth was the league champ for two different locations this summer and three locations in the spring session.
- Lookout from these ladies from Illinois — Wendy Adamczyk-D’andrea, Nancy Pettiford, and Kimberly Bandura all had dominating performances in their leagues.
